Well i didnt like the world in guild wars, which was very restricted and you got so much area loading screens, pvp for me was quiete wired in guild wars and not really traditional like i was used to it.  How does it look like here ?

I have not played pvp much yet, I can vouch for the pve section of the game, and that it is amazing.  GW was kind of incomplete for me because of the way they made the world in general.  If GW was a free game Id play it prob but would never pay to purchase it.  AOC has alot of zones, to enter certain places, but these zones are huge.  They mountain ranges, waterfalls Huge keeps...its pretty neat.  As far as the open pvp servers I hear there are some balancing issues with people on low end pc's loading into a zone and others just waiting to camp them.  I am sure that Funcom will address any problems though, they have been good about fixing issues.  Besides they have announce that they were going to use 15% of their total income to sustain AOC.

only 15%?  shit son, that'll be nothing then

And your missing out on Guild Wars, at least you don;t need to pay to play it...   The only P2P thats kept megoing (and I buy all of them from release) is EvE Online, but I didn;t need to buy that, just update with a timecard when my 14 days finished

And I'm sorry, but anyone that says Guild Wars PvP doesn't work really hasn't played it to anything near professional level...  especially as Blizzard ripped nearly every ideafor battlegrounds from WoW

Not to mention that AoC and Funcom have already not impressed me with the FIASCO with my keys/preorder, like others have had issues with too

Not to start an old arguement up, but the keys are mostly a problem from the companies that your purchased the game for, its been ongoing and argued to death.  Becareful where you pre-order from, dont be so quick to point fingers at Funcom because the company you payed for the game could not provide the keys.  Try Gamestop next time ftw?

Tarib at the official forums is singing a different tune though

To me the game reminds me of a cross link between Guild Wars SWG and WoW.

It takes the best of all of them.

Hey thanks a lot for your response all, i think i will wait a bit and decide later if i take a jump into this game world. At least the game sounds solid and wont be another failure, its just the type of content fo rme to decide. But i think my taste of game style goes more towards warhammer, well let see.

wth are you guys talking about its nothing like guildwars.  In guild wars when you leave the city your completely alone in the questing area unless your grouped, then your group can come into that instance also.  It's more similar, if not exactly similar, to everquest 2's zoning system.  After tortage each instance of a zone holds a pretty hefty amount of people khopshef province had maybe 3 instances the other day.

We talked about the pvp system and if a persistant world exist in Aoc or if it is similar to guild wars.

Without dropping any hints, but Age of Conans zoning persistent world system is very similar so far to how ANet want to go with Guild Wars 2
