In all honesty, you can't expect from the early access people not to hurry.

Personally I do prefer fast leveling than grind, but that has more to do with my limited free time these days. It feels good to believe that there is in the market one MMO that could catter to the people that don't have the whole day available for gaming.

You saying the game is not awesome is just your opinion but many thousands who are playing the game beg to differ.

In PvP games you have some sort of PvP system or PvP objectives besides ganking. Well I agree here and that is why I never play on a pvp server but there are pvp mini-games you can participate in to gain pvp points, experience to get pvp gear.If you don't like ganking then people can play on a pve server. You also can build guild cities which is actually kinda cool.

Tell me, what is so good about this game? No auto attacking ( you actually have to perform the combos in order to make it work unlike previous mmo games where you hit a button and it does everything  for you), graphics are really nice, group play is really fun, Destiny quests (you actually get good items as a reward unlike other mmo games), we don't have cartoony characters in AOC that jump around and spam nonsense all day, dungeon quests are challenging and give good rewards, this is not a gear based game, yes the gear had some nice stats on hit but its more about learning to use your skills properly.

People who praise AoC on these boards have low level chars. The game is only a week old so many will have low-mid level characters. Those who exploited/cheated the game were shown the door. Those who spend 24/7 on the pc are an exception which I can't even phathom how that is even possible but unortunately it happens.

I'm not a fanboi of Funcom or AOC because this is my first experience playing a Funcom made game. Though I can tell you that Funcom took what was out there and made it 100x better than what has been given to people prior to AOC. The game does have some flaws but really, not even a week old so people complaining about what doesn't work properly at the moment is pointless.

I will keep posting this until people realize it:

This game is over simplified and made for Xbox360. Auto-targeting, AOE only heal spells, simple boss encounters, no durability, ZONES because xbox can only handle so much, quests tell you exactly where to go, etc. I can keep listing and listing but you guys will never see it. It's really not fun beta testing an xbox360 game. Plus can't you see why there's lack of content? They're going to release chunks of the game for xbox live points, and we'll probably have to buy content booster packs like EQ2 or whatever. Get over it people. Make your choice now before you get too deep.

Auto targeting? hmm mine system seems to work the same as most mmo's tab or f8 to cycle targets only this game is less linear in the fact that you dont even need to target, like real life lol...example, on my destiny quest i was fighting a pirate and a guard walked by and i hit him with a sweep of my sword and he killed me :).

And yes i agree that the quests are spoon fed much like wow etc but as for simple boss encounters,, try going after them before you outlevel them. i always fight above my weight and it makes things much more difficult and interesting.

But lol whats this about needing to buy booster packs etc or use xbox points! i play on a pc mate so that wont count for me :) and if i have to buy expansions..then great! i love mmos that expand, hell i brought 14 for Everquest. bring em on.

In fairness this game excels till about Level 50 when suddenly all the quest dry up and its a grindfest. And lets be honest here they are still whackamole 0/10 quests nothing really visionary. This game was marketed for the casual player and unless casual means happy to spend 2 hours a day for 2 months grinding some Cannibal Cave then I think Funcom are very much mistaken.

Ehhh. Another stupid soul.

You have enough quests in Eiglophian mountains for leveling after 50.

And where is that Cannibal cave? Yes you have there four quests and nothing more. You have few better spots for grinding if you want and you don't know anything other to do.

I've grouped plenty in my trek so far, and done a handful of the dungeons, all of which were fricking awesome. AoC has outdoor and indoor dungeons to avoid that damned repetative feel of, o look, another cave. They also have put some of the group content out in the middle of the zones, which I enjoyed as well.

I don't see the problem with quest grinding. Would you rather not have quests at all?

Also, PvP will have siege battles and minigames, not just ganking, perhaps you'd be happier on a PvE server.

Also, PvE has (will have) not sure, around 10 end game dungeons with tiered gear.

I don't see what's missing. And for playing with friends, you can change instances to your friends, and communicate accross instances, you just can't see everyone. I would HATE this game without the instances, I already spend enough time spawn camping.

You don't see what's missing because you've probably only played WoW. You're right, nothing is missing in the sense that it feeds you the same boring bullshit WoW does.

I'd rather have quests that were not forced upon me to level. ATM in WoW and AoC the quickest way to level is through doing the quests, so I'm basically forced to do them if I want to be the best.

Secondly, I want quests that aren't so lame and redundant as the ones that we have seen WoW spin off and is now becoming a trend as you see that AoC has the same type and most MMOs coming out will likely copy.

I want a quest that has meaning, and takes actual effort and is hard and challenging. If you had played any of the real MMOs that first came out you'd know what I was talking about.

I LOVE PVP!!! I, however, hate PvP that is instanced. Mini-games, instanced Siege PvP...FUCKING LAME!

PvP is supposed to happen in the game world, not in a damn instance like some damn ride that you wait in line until it's your turn to take part in.

Actually I started MMOs with EQ, played it heavily, I've also played VG for a bit, not enough players around for me. Played LoTRO, had some issue that froze me up, tech support and I couldn't find a solution, but I loved the game when I could play. I also played SWG when it first came out, but didn't care for it. I've also played AC, UO, Tabula Rasa, CoH/CoV, DDO, basically any commercial MMO, I've tried it.

I don't mind doing quests to level and AoC does put more effort into their quests than most games I've seen. A lot of the quests don't take very long at all and give good rewards. There have also been some interesting quests, such as in Tartantia Noble district you are sent to investigate a murder, after all 3 suspects turn out to be not guilty, the quest log simply tells you to "find a pattern in insanity". So I go running around near the crime scene for a while and realize one of the walls is breakable, I break the wall and find a pile of bodies and a deranged killer. I thought this was a nice twist on things.

As far as hard and challenging, the quests are getting harder and I'm finding things a lot easier and more enjoyable to do as a group. I haven't run into anything truely epic yet, but one of the group quests in Conall's valley took my party and I around 10 times to clear. I don't expect anything truely epic until later in game. If you like world PvP, they have PvP servers...

Basically you haven't shown anything wrong with the game, just that it doesn't fit your play style, which is fine, go play something else.

This post is so funny :))

It WILL have this and it will have that ...

You know Alfa and Beta is over !

"I don't see what's missing" part  to conclude such a post is just hilariuos.

In my last 4 sessions of Conan (2 hours playing time, because I get a rash after that...) I have had the chance to do just ONE PvP minigame. In all other cases a waiting time of more than 1.5 hours resulted in 0 games°

And you know what? My normal FPS in solo was 40, in the city/zones it was 25 to 30 and when battling it out with 6 or 7 players at once I had 2 to 3(!!!!) FPS in a PRELOADED minigame !.

This game surprises me more each day.

The only thing I said about "will have" was the end game instances, and that's only because I don't know and I don't want to post falsehoods.

Did you ever think people are trying to level instead of doing PvP minigames?

For your FPS, I don't know what to tell you.

Like I told the last guy. If you can't show something actually wrong with the game other than you don't like it, go play something else.
