Going to have to wait until the NDA is lifted to hear how the game runs for people with various system spec. But, I have a feeling, if you're computer can play WoW with every detail cranked up to the max, Warhammer will be able to be played at least on medium details with a good framerate. |

The only thing they have said is if you have bought a computer in the last 2-3 years you should be able to run WAR just fine. |

Yep sucks to have to wait. I would like to get a new laptop but figured I would wait until the specs come out to figure on what I want to buy. |

Would a laptop bought within the last year and a half work? Nothing super crazy, but a pretty good HP. |

Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it. |
laptops are not for gaming ! for the price of a good gaming laptop you could buy a gaming desktop that would destroy any laptop + a fairly good laptop. as for system specs ... not even the beta guys know . JMHO , even though the game can run on a lower spec system you will want the best you can afford . when you start getting 1 , 2 , 300 people fighting it out with AE spells going off non stop a lower end system will have some problems . |

By no means awesome for games, but it would be well enough for WAR, and you're not going to find a desktop that destroys it and have money left over for a laptop that doesn't suck. This isn't Crysis we're talking about, you wont need an uber gaming rig, and anyway MMOS are about gameplay not running everything on high.

Yes while I agree that the difference between a great gaming laptop and a great gaming desktop is the desktop costs a lot less and probably has better equipment it does not have the one thing that I want. Mobility. I live up in Oregon and the fact that most of Portland has free wi-fi means that when I go visit up there just to drink some coffee and enjoy the day up there I would love to once in a while take my laptop and even get som WAR time in. Damn I'm a geek. But hell get some sunshine in and play an online game. At least when somebody tells me to stop playing and go outside and get some sunshine I can tell them I already am. |
