To live free is worth dying for.

Hehe,

I'm thinking that they might just do that.   Blizzard wants to get people hooked on it's "PVP ZONES!  ZOMG AIR COMBAT WWII!!!" before they have a taste of WAR... so do you think they would rush a launch to beat WAR?

I say yeah.. I think blizz will.

"...you mean three philippino women."

I doubt it.  I don't believe that Blizzard is watching the release dates of other games.  They've always been launching their products when they feel they're ready.  I think that other companies watch when Blizzard launches something and avoid that date if possible.

I'm sure they wont...I bet they would love to get it out first. But whatever the case while WAR will undoubtedly cut into WoW's subscriptions, they wont be hurting much.

Viggor-Proud Adept of WAR for Darklore

Nope considering they just put up the beta announcement stuff so people can sign up. I think December or so is the best bet.

Crack addicts will buy crack whenever it's available.  Today, tomorrow, next month, next year...doesn't matter to them.

Google "MMORPGMaker" if you want to make your own MMORPG.

I think MMORPG releases stand on their own these days. I don't think release dates of other MMO's or MMO expansions make any difference on whether a new release is successful or not. It's 99% dependent on whether you release a fun game or not, and it doesn't depend on the competition so much.

It's a 50 dollar box, and you can cancel a sub any time. We buy single player games all the time for 50 bucks that only last a month or less.

People can buy AoC, or WAR, or the WoW expansion today, and if a few weeks from now they hear something else is more fun, they can cancel, and switch, and they will.

For those waiting on the WoW expansion, it doesn't really matter when WAR releases, and vice a versa.

Blizz probably won't, yeah they probably weren't expecting WAR to be an MMO or maybe they will. But either way it's not much of a problem to them. If they're worrying about WAR while making 2 other games (I think?) then blizzard's just a nervous teenager trying to impress his father. The fact is blizzard's rep is mainly about polish and good standing, yes I don't like that game but it's a fact they do good polish. If they release it now their rep won't be the best or maybe it will. Blizzard keeps games as long as they want also so..ya I can't think of much anything else to say...

People who are going to play Warhammer are going to do so is WOLTK comes our first or not.  There are lots of people who are getting pretty desperate for a decent game to play after getting bored with WoW.  The first game that comes along and fills that void is going to make a lot of money.  No one game should be this much more popular than every other single game of a similar nature.

Personally I think Blizzard would be smart to launch a month or two after Warhammer comes out.  If it has even a hint of a bad launch or anything similar to Conan you will see people stream back to their old games.
