“Mickey Mouse to a three-year-old is a six-foot-tall RAT!”
~Robin Williams

I don't know about everyone else that frequents this site, but I LOVED loved LOVED "Vampire The Masquerade Redemption."  I love it SO much, that I have to say it's one of my favorite games of all time.  Which is actually saying a lot, since I've been gaming since the days of PONG and Atari.  =D

I realize that Troika no longer exists, so obviously the game could not be produced by them, but it surprises me that one has not been made.  For a single player RPG, that game was/is incredibly immersive, and just off the hook!

Has anyone else played or, as I do, is anyone continuing to play it over and over choosing to be of a different clan every time?

I guess I'm just curious as to the thoughts about formulating something like that into an MMO.....

THE ABOVE POST IS MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION. Duh.
Playing: WoW, EQ2, EVE, played WAR through the first month, presently in closed beta two upcoming MMOs, really looking forward to The Agency, Runes of Magic, Aion and TCoS releases. Still debating a return to Vanguard. I also play FPS games, such as Unreal 3 and Painkiller, and some single player games like Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. I'm addicted.

Dude I loved those games too! An MMORPG version of Vampire The Masquerade would be awesome. That's a great idea. Kinda like my Grand Theft Auto Kingpin idea, that covers the major ghetto chunk of the North East part of US. That'd make a good MMORPG too, added character development.

MMORPGs are great to look forward to after a hard day of work, but heaven is the ultimate reward for those who live Christ-like.

Well it won't exactly be 'Vampire Only' ... buut.  CCP and White Wolf are making a WoD MMO.  There was an official announcement of the venture awhile back but, there has been no SS's or demos stuff put out as of yet that I am aware of.

Cheaper than Cheap

Yes, played and loved the game as well.  I'm also suprised no one has really attempted this type of theme too.  VtM offers alot of character types to play that can incorporate into an MMO as well as the lore.  And it's not set in a fantasy or sci-fi world which would be a nice change of pace.

I think there is some kind of Vampire MMO out there but it's not very good.  Oh well maybe someday we'll see a game like Vampire the Masquerade.

Don''t mock me my friend. It''s a condition of mental divergence.

I prefer the vampire mythos more in the vein of Anne Rice or John Carpenter but yeah I would like to see a vampire MMO arise, preferably modern day though, there is something about medieval vampires that does not set well with me.

As was mentioned CCP is now part of White Wolf, dunno who bought who etc but, if you look at the white wolf website you will see links to CCP.  They are currently working on a World of Darkness MMO... vampires, hunters, werewolves etc etc etc.

Ahhh, yes, I went to have a peek at the "World of Darkness" information.  That sounds like that might be intriguing, provided it has the various lore clans, and whatnot! :)  Wow...4 or 5 years.  /sigh  I guess things take time.  I'm just so tired of the same old same old fantasy settings with elves and orcs.  Blech.  And outerspace....just doesn't do anything for me, really.  I was never a "Trekkie" and Star Wars was a great movie series, but to hang out in that "world"....nah....thanks.

Vampires, on the other hand, are pretty much an untouched realm for gaming with rare exception.  Kind of interesting and new. :)

Has anyone heard of anything other than this ONE game that is not going to be out for 4-5 years??  LOL  (I'm impatient, but I WILL be looking forward to that, anyway.)

There is DarkEden, I don't know much about it other than it is a vampire MMO though.

It is 2D, if that is an issue.

Would love to see VtM as a mmo, it was great a pnp, great as live RP and great as a single player RPG. I believe that Bloodlines still has a strong community creating custom content for it too.

Also as one poster said a Anne Rice or John Carpenter Type wouldnt be bad either But I think Laurell K. Hamilton's Story lines in her annita blake series are much more interesting, I would definately give an MMO based on that try.
