The reason why it bothers me when people screw up basic grammar is because it gives me the impression that they just *don't care*: that they have so little respect for those they are talking to that they couldn't bother to type things normally. Either that, or I think they're just wallowing in stupidity -- a sort of anti-intellectualism. I'm not talking about people who are not native English speakers or who really just aren't very bright. I'm talking about those who know better but choose to use poor grammar. |

I do. It really is getting out of hand. How hard is it to type in full sentences with punctuation? Each year it seems to get worse and worse. |
