Yep definitely a given seeing as players are captains from the get-go.

Not sure about the specifics but like i said confirmed.
4) We should be able to walk around and go from one area to the next almost seemlessly.
The more graphically intense a game is the more complex the world around you is this will get hard. I can see them doing an entire "level" seamlessly but an entire Starship on the scale of the Enterprise or Voyager.. with dozens of levels and 100's of detail and interactive rooms? Im thinking no but thanks for playing.
5) These Ships should have both a PC crew aswell as a NPC crew.
Novel idea until you attempt it. As has been previously said, this is not impossible to do. But it would be suicidal to make ships player operated.
The first time you log on and cant do anything because your "friends" arent on to help you.. you will quit and say "this game sucks!" SWG was not based on this they added these ships as a "bonus" but nothing forced you to use these and pretty much no one did after the inital "wow this is cool" died out.
It would require far to much work for something that in "theory" would be cool but is simply not feasable. Cryptic is not going to "risk" that the players population will be sufficent and organized enough to field these ships, so spending the dev time into is not worth it. Maybe an expansion far down the line.. as a "oh what the hell" kind of thing.
You know i've played GW and they had PC teams down BUT sometimes PC teams can be so disorganized its amazing to the point where an NPC team would pwn you. I thinks its better they left this to "we'll add it down the line" type of thing.
6) Crew should have a profession: SCIENCE, DOCTOR, HELM, TACTICAL, ENGINEERING, COMMAND.
Again refer to the above post. who would actually want to play a game about starship exploration and combat and spend their whole playing time in Engineering. Again sounds good but is never going to work.
You can actually play as different professions but you will still be the captain of your ship. I think your proffession would be more prominent in the away team but you being the captain of youur ship still stands.
7) AWAY TEAM professions: SCI-EXPLORATION, SECURITY, MEDIC, CONSTRUCTION
I have heard nothing of away team professions but i would think they would have them if not its a run a gun kinda thing. I assume 80% of the game will be ala EVE. Space exploration and fighting.
No I think it more of a 60:40 thing because it's on planets you get to recruit new NPCs onto your ship and discover new resources, civilizations, trade etc etc.
8) Full on GALAXIES to Explore. With both WARP and REALTIME travel.
You have to stay close to canon here, and again from what i have seen and read it will be ala EVE space type situation.
They said it would be semi realistic with wormholes (in the case of eve Warp gates or jump gates) and warp factors to shorten the journey.
9) Full Planets to Explore and Fight over
Again ground game will obviously take a backseat to the scale of the space game. This is Star Trek the space aspect of the game will have to be solid, immersive, action packed, and replayable. Although they have confirmed multiple worlds and ground content. I would think they would not hang themselves by going to far and creating a huge ground game and a huge space game. More bugs, balance problems and things to go wrong. Most companies cant even get one huge game correct.
10) Guild run Space Stations with commerce, defense, and social content
Guild space stations is pretty much a given, although maybe not at launch. But obviously the Space Station would have defense abilities and hopefully will be more interactive and open then Eve Stations. As far as crafting goes.. they haven't said much from what i know. Im not even sure it has a place in Star Trek. ??? What would you craft? Food? Weapons? Armor? Potions? The only thing that would make sense is Starship crafting and components. but 2 professions hardly make up a good market. And considering that the use those proton thingies that make things out of air (cant remember what they are called) and considering that any ship in ST is so vast it takes an orbital space dock to build one.. I dont see a huge area for them to go on.
Not many MMORPGs get the 2nd chance this game is getting. The bottom line is many of the above items were the cause of much bad blood with PE. DO NOT try to be like WOW! Do the right thing and listen to the People. We only want to see STO be the best game on the market!
