It's pointless to listen to someone who will not listen to you |
I decide to go ahead and pre-order the game. I jump in my car head to BestBuy and start my search for the SE pre-order box. But what is this?!?! Doth mine eyes deceive me!!! Is that "one" CE Pre-order box sitting there lonely and forgotten? Surely I'm seeing things, and it's simply a mirage. I reach for it and...OMG... it's a tangible object! The icing on the cake is that some 15 seconds later I hear some random guy shout "f*ck," and I turn to inspect only to see the guy looking at me. He then tries to barter with me to trade an SE for a CE. Not that grand of a tale I know, but I thought that literally all the CE's were gone especially this late in the season. To get the last one at a BestBuy in the greater Atlanta area just seems so serendipitous. See you all in WAR!!! |

Terribly sorry, didn't even think to tell ya that (must have been my excitment). He offered to buy me the standard edition and comp me 20 bucks cash right there. (So basically buy what equaled to two CEs) Negating the fact that it was a pre-order and I had no assurances that he would/could actually buy me the SE in full (today), I just wasn't interested. If I needed the extra cash I would have gone for it but why slap lady luck in the face like that. She might not be so kind next go round. |
