Darkfall

The sad thing is people have been asking should I get game x, y or z or wait for Darkfall every year, for years.

Get WAR. Why? Because it will probably have fewer bugs because it isn't promising as much details and capabilities as Darkfall is.

To appease both sides of this party...

Darkfall exists... but it will be far buggier than even AoC. Why? Because its promised things far beyond what current developers have successfully accomplished despite their own team-sizes.

Do you really want to screw around with Darkfall in its haphazard state on release?

I hate to post one-liners, as some here seem to do...but, the bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

I'm going to wait until WAR has been out for a month.  

Then if there is no news on Darkfall and WAR has a decent reputation I'll buy it.

i see 0 evidence that even if DF did come out, that somehow magically this small indie company would make a game with all these features and make it work, considering giant companies with millions spent cant do it.Its just illogical to think darkfall will succeed or even come out anyrtime soon. 

Giant companies with millions probably could pull it off.  The thing is, that none of them want to, because as we know, everyone loves WoW clones, so why try anything different?  Look at anything within pop-culture and you'll find that originality is more or less an underground thing.  Anyway, I read a post of someone that actually (supposedly) went to the studio in Greece and met with Taos and he said that the game would definitely be out this year, although a European launch prior to a US launch is likely at this point.

"The game was fully functional and they were all playing it plus developing. They have had large battles to test stuff and have testers form other countries. Now I know this number is VERY small and I don't think there will be a big beta opening for users to test. This is where I think there should be. If it comes out in europe before USA , us americans can buy a download of it and play on the europe servers. So no madder what we all will be able to play no madder where it is relased first.

Unless you live off welfare, you shouldn't even have to ask this question. Try the one that comes out first and play it until you dislike it, when the other one comes out then buy it/download the beta and try it and if you like it better then cancel the sub on the first one (if you're still playing i) and buy the other one. Feature lists, previews, videos and dev updates are cool and all, but just like when buying a car a spec sheet and a magazine article will never replace a test drive, they'll never replace playing the games yourself.
