This is just more false PR bullshit in wich Funcom has something to hide. Otherwise you wouldn't do it behind closed doors, away from the REAL gamers who would know and notice if it's REAL DirectX10 stuff, or just some out of game rendered crap or just the old stuff we have already seen before, in a desperate last attempt to sell a couple more boxes.

EDIT: This is just exactly how I predicted it. DirectX10 for Age of Conan is just vaporware. Nothing is going to be shown at the game convention FOR THE PLAYERS like they promissed (read LIED about) before!

Now they are over hyping DX10 on this game, the games graphics and eye candy will not change much under DX10 enabled, it will create better shadows for them. Now they are over hyping DX10 to tr pull more people in, if people do not realize this and think it will change much they need to just start reading about DX10 and AOC features while under DX10/

Awesome another fantasy pr stunt from Failcom about DX10 in Conan, Priceless. I remember all the DX10 hype before the game came out, just more voporware form Failcom.

They can't even get the core game stable and they put this out on the day financials are released. With a 6 mil loss for the quarter they released the game and should have been additional profits for the game sales they couldnt even hit the black.

WOOOO.  DX10 so i can get the OOM even faster, and everyone will still look the same only in DX10. WOOOOOO!!!!

Thats all they can do.  If they could actually bring anything of their bull to live it would be nice.  DX10 is still 6 months away from making the live servers.  Its not yet in any state to been shown to public.  And this was supposed to be part of the orginal launch...

So will DX10 magically fix most of the bugs in AOC and add more content in the higher levels then?

A PR stunt nothing more as its well known graphics are not the only problem with this game.

I find it amusing to say the least that the one thing even haters will concede is that there is nothing wrong with the graphics.

....yet FunCom are spending time and resources to improve the gephics.  Wonder if they are aware that there are one or two other things they should be worried about.

I suppose Microsoft is pressuring them to get it done, since they signed a deal with FC to market DX10 as a part of MS's efforts to sell Vista.
