To all the veterans of their chosen MMO...

Have you ever had one of those game sessions where everything you seem to do is wrong and everyone else around you must think you're a complete Noob?

I had one of these moments tonight where as the main tank I was forgetting basics and doing things I know I'm doing completely wrong but it was almost like watching someone else play.   I caused the wipe of my group 4 times. Now before you start saying, what a f^*^)'ing noob, I know this happens to people in real life too, the days where you just wish you hadn't crawled out of bed that day.   So....I thought this would be a perfect chance to ask everyone else out there what your worst noob moment was.

Forum Poll

Have you ever had a Noob moment?

No way I'm too good for that.

You kill the Joe, you make some moe

Tons of times, I couldn't recall them all if I wanted to

A few nights ago I was tanking horribly on CoH, just couldn't hold aggro from the blasters and scrappers for some reason. Tried herding so I could get my taunt well placed on large groups, instead I managed to scatter them about the hall as much as possible. Group fell apart after the mission :(

I intend to live forever -- So far so good!

In real life yes.  I've gone to work and all day nothing would go my way.  Things that I've been doing for 2 years straight all of a sudden didn't make sense, or I was just thinking backwards.

When it comes to games, I can't say it did since I was never in a group like that to really matter.  Most of the time I'm out in the wilderness somewhere with one or two buddies and neither of us are playing seriously enough to screw anything up.  If it ever seems like shit is going to go wrong or it's just not my day I turn the game off and go outside or some crap.

Who didn't had noob moment?

I remember my first weeks in Runescape, I was making money simply by killing lvl 12 creatures and trying to sell their loot to some players. For every full inventory, I had to scream for houres at the bank just to get my crap sold. In Guild Wars I've had some serious noob-moments aswell, I remember I didn't understand why there was noone in the world, but now I understand that those parts of the game are instanced, !

I doubt anyone has not had any noob moments. I've had them from time to time although I've managed to steer clear of the most of them. Can't recall any "noob moment" now though...

OMG funny. Yeah SWG was my first MMO as well and I'm pretty sure I did the same thing within my first day or so.

At the end of this dungeon, Blackfathom Deeps, after defeating what i thought was the last boss, i noticed some candle bases that would light up and had the interact symbol appear.

So, i tried one and a flame appeared, so i quickly ran around lighting the other three that were still unlit thinking maybe something special would happen if they all were lit.

Turned out each candle that is lit spawns another group of mobs...

My group was soo mad cause we had no way to defeat them all at the same time and we weren't able to finish the dungeon. This was when the highest level on the server was 40, so we couldn't just call for help either.

I got a lot of hate tells that night.

A.K.A
Sinhealer

Yep for sure my biggest and I still get a red face thinking about it..

BWL in WoW I was in a guild that was trying to finish it and we were doing quite well,I dont remember the bosses name but he drops his head which is part of a quest,a quest I am sorry to say I had,Now as the raid leader was doing the usual dkp loot I seen the body had something for me(which is strange I thought with master loot, also I had forgot I was even on this quest)so went over and looted the head......

Yep I really did....I was lucky that the guild was made up of a great bunch of guys and it wasnt till I read the quest again I seen"only 1 may loot the head"

From that day on I made sure I always read my quests in full and always kept track of what quests I was on,needless to say I didnt use any of my dkp for quite sometime after that :)
