I know, you are all getting tired of these WAR vs WoW posts, but really, even though we all are really tired of WoW , I still have not seen anything to suggest that WAR is not a step up from WoW. Almost all the other features of WAR seem to be superior to WoW's: 1.) Almost open world, where you can travel from one zone to another. 2.) Amazing PvE that is FAR greater then almost anything we have seen before. 3.) PvP that has no equal 4.) A huge world comparing to other MMOs and far more storys that can go along with it. 5.) Careers that everyone can feel useful in In WoW's favour: they have been out for almost 4 years they have an economy to match it. Or are there more WoW features that will blow WAR out of the water that I don't know about? (I only got to level 60 on WoW before I became extremely bored.). Please understand that I am not a WAR fanboy, in fact I desperately want to know the answers if there was any other superior MMO fantasy games out there. Just have not seen one yet.
PS If you can't take a joke don't respond. :) |

Because the combat blows and the visual presentation is dark and uninteresting in most areas. |

Well if they like their game constantly reset and everything they spent hundreds of hours getting being made useless every expansion they should definitely not leave. Also if they prefer for their PvP to all take place inside of a very small number of battlegrounds in which 90% of the other players lack any form of competitive nature and are just there to grind out some virtual number that will let them have even more ridiculous gear that will be made useless when the next expansion comes they should definitely not leave. Also if they like to spend endless hours raiding the same scripted dungeon over and over two to three times a week to get more ridiculous gear that will be made useless the next time an expansion comes out they should definitely not leave. Also if they like to play solo and grind out thousands of quests barely ever interacting with players other than to grind out said virtual numbers to get said ridiculous armor that will then be made useless when said expansion comes out they should not leave. Also if they don't like World PvP and want to support a game that would rather divert PvP combat into meaningless arcade games instead of World PvP they should definitely leave. Also if they prefer for their combat to be between 60-99% CC they should definitely not leave. Also if they enjoy Chuck Norris and Murloc Barrens type chat they should not leave. Damn look at all these reasons and I am getting cut off for work. I could go on all day! |

You just made 2 counter points to every other person on these forums. Everyone else says WAR is too much like WoW and that its combat is too similar and the graphics look like WoW, but somehow you find the opposite? The combat doesn't blow. It is obious that you have nevef played the game, and if you did, you only played with the intention of NOT liking the game. The combat is on par with every MMO out there in terms of pacing, but excels in the area of the amount of abilities available for your use. |

Somehow I knew in hell there would be mushrooms. |
sigh... I wish it was possible for these two communities to get along, or at least leave eachother alone. They are both great games in my opinion, one for PVE, one for PVP. They will both have plenty of full servers for years to come.. |

um because the WAR pve sucks? I was in beta, the instances are horrible, the combat is slow and incredbly boring for melee class who just get up close and hit a button..1...2...hit another...and it goes on and on until a morale ability they want lights and then they click that.....how can that in any way be considered fun? Personally I find EVERY class in WoW to be so much more fun than any of them in WAR. Throughout the entire game it seems like there is a lack of decent PvE content, and its all easy crap that a person could play with their eyes closed. RvR is at least a challenge, but still, who wants to spend all their time playing an MMO doing PvP? I want good PvE, and I want good PvP, and I want new content to keep me busy. How would new content work in WAR? New PvE content would be horrible, and "new" PvP content wouldn't really be that new, as the only things they could add are more scenarios, higher renown ranks, and more PvP gear. All MMO's have a problem with a lack of new PvP content, but at least with WoW I can do something fun that isn't PvP for once. And the mastery system in WAR is horrible, much less customization than the WoW talent point system. And don't even get me started on that thing mythic claims is crafting. |
