... is the usual evil EA scheme. In that way they have an almost ready next expansion to sell ASAP. See Sims or FIFA addons = endless customer milking. Nothing against Mythic, but all this smells SO like the usual EA $$$-crap.

Forum Poll

Did EA cut the cities/classes to milk more money in an expansion?

Yes sure, EA is evil

The pen is mightier than the sword if the sword is very short, and the pen is very sharp.

Let's not discuss and agree Yunbei is a troll. Weeee. All done.

Blame Will Wright for the Sims, the guys a devil in disguise harvesting souls with his succubi packaged as video games. He is true evil. His name has ten letters, ten has 3, 3x2 is six, three sixes  equal 666, see! He is the antichrist! He is the one who signals doom for us all!

You are talking about in house EA developers vs. external developers published by EA.  You couldn't be farther off.  They had a deadline, beta feedback was bad about those classes, and they didn't feel like they could get them up to snuff, and fun enough for launch so they took them out.  I doubt we will see the cities in an expansion but rather maybe a fifth tier.  The classes though are anyone's guess.

An MMO expansion will be much more than madden or other EA sports games.  All they do is update the roster, menu, sound, and maybe one or two engine elements.  MMO xpacs are all content not engine usually.

Cynical? Me? Never.

Get off the computer, and pay attention to your teacher. You might actually learn something.

EA has nothing to say in the devolpment of warhammer.

The cities are going to be patched, and there is a possibility that those classes will NEVER come. Not even in an expansion.

90% chance is that the expansion will give extra races, cause in the beginning they said they were planning on getting in more races playable over time.

I think that willl be the main focus, and maybe get in raiding in the game aswell. The raiding option is there just no dungeons yet. And pbb more siege weapons, more weapons, more dungeons, more zones.

And if they decide those classes will come it will be with patches. Mythic was so bumped out to have to cut those classes for release they would pbb trow them in with some patch.

This likely could be true, but this is becoming common practice with the industry, especially with this gen consoles and DLC, and it's not just EA. As long as the game has enough options at launch, I'll be happy to have a content ready expansion, released just when they need it.

My vote is that it isn't though, and as the rest have said, more likely a deadline cut.

Lol, maybe I am paranoid... but I cant forget what EA did to great companies like Origin, Bullfrog and others. For me EA is what for some is SOE, the source of all evil in gaming. If I do them unjust, my bad, but eveything they have their hands in something bad happens. Mark my words.

I mean, seriously, at least the cities were almost ready! How could they not, so close to launch? I admit, its just a feeling, an impression. But when they sell us those 4 cities in some time I can say "I told you so". ;)

If that is really the case I would gladly pay for it. I am actually hoping for a decent amount of expansions for WaR seeing that it's coming from Mythic.

Also hoping there's still seating available in the fanboi section b/c I'll need one :D

Love life!

It is my opinion that the races that were cut will NEVER make it into WAR, ever. The devs have discovered that having these 'imbalances' (e.g. empire not having a tank and chaos having a tank) among racial pairings makes for more interesting play! ... you have more than one race in a given scenario!

Future expansions will mirror this imbalance. As in, if they were to introduce 1 order race and 1 descturction race in a new expansion, it'd probably lack a certain archetype e.g. a tank or dps career... so as to encourage cross race scenarios.
