well tbh honest i was waiting from warhamer and all epiq medieval fantasy upcoming mmo's to have some more tactical combat system ,means in a simulation rythm realistic attack speed...

example the atatcks in wow are very fast and unrealistic in speed imagine a rogue with blade fury open and slice and dice not to mention any heroism buffs from a shaman. u never see the sword slashing through the armour and back agan just some mash of steel sweeping sweeping ...i d prefer to see some slower and more tactical and ofc much better animations during a melee battle for example oblivion style battles .. ..

if u watch a movie with medieval battles many times a 2 handed sword wielder needs 3-4 seconds sometimes to perform a second swind same with duel weild weapons situations e.t.c. too much speedy battles and less tactical awarenees from all mmo's including WAR.

I wish they could slow the battle pace and make battles more tactical and that way the adrenaline flows faster guys trust me..    Not to mention the optical result could be better adn u ll be able to watch morre in the screen and enjoy your combat moves more than just watching the bars and the skills icons more....

slow down combat speen in WAR, nope.   slow it down elsewhere so you can have large battles(while keeping body blocking) yes.

I like the combat speed. it should NOT get faster, but atm I see no reason for slowing it down. I would however not protest if they slowed it down a bit. slower is usually more fun.

but I play beta and there really is not problem here atm

1 on 1 fights are pretty rare, but there combat speed is most obvious.

Special move combat speed is perfectly fine in WAR.  the auto attack is way too slow right now.  Swinging speed of the attacks seem real enough for me.

AOC had a nice fluid combat engine, but the combat was fast, yet somewhat realistic in speed.

Look at Mount & Blade for the most realistic combat speed.

I thought the combat in WAR was slow personally, or at least the auto attack was extremely horrible.

Its kind of a button masher as it is now, so i can see why that should be slowed down a bit, and I agree, they need to improve auto attack imho.

I have to disagree in general, I like faster combat, and also I don't think fast is the opposite of tactical.  The combat in the video looked pretty good, but it was a bit sluggish it could stand to be sped up a bit.

Even though it is a mortal sin on this forum, I think WoW had really good pacing in fights, if you are just using auto attack it is slow, but adding in other attacks and the combat moved at a nice pace.  But I have to disagree about Mount and Blade, the pacing in that game does not seem very realistic to me, it is slow in more ways then one.

On a side note, glade they allowed players to move while fighting, previous WAR videos I have seen there was practically no movement, but movement makes the fight generally more fun and makes positioning a factor so good call on that one.  Also the push back attacked look fun to use.  The spell effects still look a bit silly to me though.

No offense but this is the most boring video I have ever seen =/. I though WAR was going to be good, ugh, it looks like WoW but worse.

you do not PvP that's why. if you did, you would appreciate the change of pace from WoW to WAR.

one shot or two shot "fights" are for people who can not plan, can not think and are too young to understand the IP anyway.

I posted this as an information vid on 1 on 1 fights which are so rare that this is the only one I could find.

I did not advertize this as a fun epic keep raiding vid.

it is INFORMATION on length of encounters and game mechanics -> that's why this guy is narrating. he explains.

if you want flashy "fun" vids which tell you NOTHING at all about the game, then move to one of those threads or do a youtube search

he is explicitly stating that "the action" is somewhere else. if you knew anything about the game you would know that there is really no reason to be where this guy was, because the objective could not be captured by him.

he only sat there to pick up people who wander around which helps really no one in RvR, but is a great way to make a 1 on 1 vid.
