Well a friend of mine mailed me these links to various screens taken from WotLK. Just thought id post them here. I dont play WoW anymore due to irl commitments but man these do look pretty Edit: Downsized the images coz they were too huge. added a few more.

Graphic was never close to the top of my list, but if one thinks these shots are pretty, one must had not seen much beauties lately. In fact, some of the old world of WOW can easily best these shots. Also, still that same big, fat, detail less way of art that they are using. It's getting old. Like Recant said, no improvement can be verified. Yawning! |

Actually, if i look out my window right now I've got the ocean expanse as far as the eye can see. So yeah. Pretty dead inside when i see these images. |

The skies and the lighting effects look nice, I suppose, but nothing better than what it's competitors have to offer. I've never been a fan of the exaggerated proportions and child-like cartoonishness that WoW uses, so I wouldn't say that they look "sweet" to me at all, just more of the same. If you want to look at some impressive graphics, try AoC. For example, the distance shot of the first "castle" reminds me much more of something made with childrens' building blocks than a stunning location like Angkor Wat. |
