That is what this game is.  It makes a lot of sense now as all along they have claimed to be making the game they wanted to play, and they have also stated they were bigtime into the original early version of UO.

After 7 years, for the first time, I am losing my skepticism and really believe this game is going to launch in 2008, or early 2009.

For all those who played UO on dial-up like a lot of us did I believe you are going to love this game.  The combat appears to be much like Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, while the non-combat gameplay appears to have a lot of the old UO in it.

It may have taken a small independent team 7 years to do it, and I know there are some who don't agree, but the video is pretty amazing.  If you consider the graphics are average and they clearly don't have good animation technology, but the gameplay just looks fun and addictive.

I think anyone who thinks that having AoC-type graphics is essential to playing a fun game needs to wake up.  It looks like pretty much most rigs can run Darkfall, which is a good thing for the game.  I, for one, can't wait to log on and play.

Tecmo Bowl.

Call me a fanboy if you wish...The truth is people like you hate every game that comes out.

this picture was taken on a nvidia 6000 series card with over 100 fps for 95% or more percent of players will be able to run it on max with no lag

Yes, apparently they are trying to fully optimize the performance of the engine so it runs smoothly when in large battles. Which ofcourse is a very good thing because no one likes a stuttering and laggy game.

For those of you that enjoy being able to choose your path of adventure rather than adhering to the invisible walls of a themepark mmorpg, this mmo could possibly be the one for you!
