Alright, so I have a new vista computer and I needed a mic. I found one around the house, and it plugs in and seems to work fine. I then went to the ventrilio website and downloaded the 64bit version of vent. I have it downloaded and have a user name, and will enter the server info when i get it, but is there any way i can test it so i know if it will work? Thanks |

To not conform is to conform; Always question orders and demand a reason, least you become a Nazi. |
Go to Setup > Test (you may need to fill in a codec and format, just pick anyone). You can know use voice activation or keybind just like your in a vent server. |

Ya..under setup it says Test With, and you can choose GSM 6.10, DSP Group TrueSpeech, Lernout and Hauspie, or Speex. And then the formats vary. I try using them though and it says: "Unable to activate DirectSound for selected device. DIRECTSOUNDCAPTURECREATE Failed. HS=DSERR_NODRIVER. No Sound Driver is Available for use" Then i click ok and another msg comes up: Open Input Wave Device Failed. So can anyone help Please. Thanks! |
