Guild leaders beware!

In the most rediculous example yet of Funcom and their GMs incompetence yet I make this post.

I am a guild founder on the Dagoth server. Guild name ARCH. We have a tier two city, tier three keep and a battle keep. This guild had over 200 members.

My self and a number of officers decided to leave the game and go to WAR. We still had a large contingent  of people who wanted to stick it out in AoC. So after some discussion I made new officers and a new guild leader from those faithful folks that were staying.

There was one player inparticular who I did not promote. He took offense to this and started cuasing trouble. He LEFT the guild with his main character however he still had an "alt" in the guild.

This player in his spite contacted a GM, feed the GM a line of bull and the GM, GET THIS made his alt the guild leader of the guild. This player then kicked every single player from the guild thus destroying our guild city and our battle keep. Oh, Also he stole all the gold and building mats from the guild bank. He admitted to doing all this to the guild leader that we promoted, luckily he saved chat logs of it and perhaps some action can be taken by Funcom to reverse this and or ban this player for his actions.

The person we actually made the guild leader logged on to find the guild and all its accomplishments GONE. He contected a GM, the GM told him there is no record of the guild ever having excisted! We were one of the first guilds formed on the server, our guild city was in instance number ONE in lach plains. When the guild leader asked what happened to the guild the GM just shrugged his shoulders and actually offered him GOLD to go away.

When asked, the GM said it is funcoms polocy that if a guild leader has not logged on for 30 days then a GM can take this kind of action. Well me being the guild founder, I was logged into the game 7 days ago to take care of promotions and make the new guild leader. So how exactly do they confirm such a thing? Do they just ask the retard who is asking to be made guild leader?

So guild leaders BEWARE, any retard of any level can just contact a GM and be made guild leader of your guild without your knowledge or consent and they he can destroy your guild. And funcom will help them do it then shrug their shoulders at you after saying sorry nothing we can do.

Worst game management error I have ever heard of in a game period. Funcom you have really earned the name FAILCOM.

Do all your guildies a favour, ask them all to leave this pile of crap...

Now the rest of your guild has an excuse to go to WAR no?

This does not surprise me.  One reason a game company should use native English speaking people.

I have seen bad things happen before in other MMO's and some screw up's here and there.

But this really baffles me beyond believe! What in earth kind of morons and incompetent retards have Funcom hired into their GM department.

I know it's hard to get IT personel here in Norway at the moment, but seriously tho. Better having a smaller GM staff with longer waiting times, then a large GM staff filled with complete nutcases!

And seeing what happened with the new Moderators they have hired a while ago it clearly shows Funcom is really trying to dig their own grave. And I mean a very very deep grave the least.

Reading all this crap only means I will never ever want to go back to any game of Funcom ever again. As all your accomplishments can be destroyed in an instance, if you accidently invite a tard into your guild.

Even worse that their GM tools are appearantly NON-existant as obvious and basic things like guild disbanding info and guild logging in general is appearently not even available to them *gasp*

I actually really don't want to know what the hell is going on there in the office of Funcom. It can't be a healthy atmosphere atm.

This has got to be one of the worst issues I have heard yet in regards to AoC.  In most cases like bugs, gameplay and content can be fixed... but letting actions like this go abound with no regard for their own set policy...  Absolutely mind-boggling.

This seals the deal for me, as well as others.  AoC and Funcom are two entities to stay far far away from.

Just when we thought nothing could get worse..  this is simply unbelieveable.  Yet, I do believe it.

omg, this is such a sad case, and you say lot of your guildies wanted to stay?  they were having fun in the game enough to stay in it, yet got kicked in the ass :(

Iam not saying that you did lie but its kinda strange you still recruit and there is no info about that AoC guild is gone  on your guild site: www.archcommunity.com ( or maybe I missed it )


Btw I know one of EU guilds were also splitting in 2 devisions, one that would stay in AoC and the other that head to WAR. The guild leader promoted a member to a guild leader and that one got pissed after a week and he kicked all members out and left the guild ..

The ex guild leader wanted to help out his aoc members so he made up a story how someone else was promoted to guild leader by GM ...

GM contacted the guild leader who kicked members out and he told him that he got fed up by bitching of ex guild leader thats why he kicked everyone and deleted guild ... he also provided some screen shots of chat when he was promoted to new guild leader.
