Darkfall

Recently a topic in the Pub was made about how the "hardcore" Darkfall fans were coming to this forum and hyping DF while trashing all of the other games; this has been proven:

But this goes past the hyping of the game, this goes into the community that is DF.  If you take the time just to read a bit of that thread, you will realize how rediculous the community is.  I've never seen such hate towards a site, it is rediculous.

It's almost comical how eilitist the community is.  Here are some quotes to prove my point:

"the higher it gets, the more people get interested, the more newbs we get to gank, the richer we get"

"Darkfall will never have high ratings on a site that has LOTR online rated as the best MMORPG ever released. There are too many haters there that for some reason feel like DF threatens their happy little MMORPG community."

Well, I think you all get my point.  It really is funny how they think they're so "hardcore" when they're talking about a game.  They have an attitude that makes them think they are better than everyone who has different tastes in games than them...it's kind of sad.

Only one person there defended us, under the name Legolas.  Kudos to you Legolas, whoever you are.  You can also see Imbant and Aragon supporting the movement, oh well. 

I have no respect for the DF community.  Coming over here and hyping it, they're elitist attiitude, they deserve no respect.  I really didn't have much respect for them anyway, but this is rediculous.

I never really hyped the game until no...., well, actually, I'll be dehyping it because of the actions that their community made.

Pretty sure this will get locked soon mike but yeah I agree with you,not only about all the elitist remarks but the fact they still want to come on this site with such a low opinion of us,DF took a dive today and not because of the gameplay but because of the immature community.

Newbies who think this is the way to fit in. As you also can read in there is the people who have followed Darkfall for a longer time. And not all are happy with their immature hype thingie.

As long they just hyping the game, so be it. But dehype games before even read about them is just stupid.

glad its only a few people that are dehyping cause it isnt me.

plus if it was even alot to be worth mentioning War would be below darkfall already

I will show respect for people who don't agree with this, but I read the thread and could hardly find anyone who disagreed with it.  Even imbant and Aragon are over there...

I hope it doesn't get deleted; I don't really see why it would.  I didn't break any rules (from what I can tell), I was just posting the rediculous things they were saying on the board along with my opinion of the community.

Nah Mike not because of you but this could and probally will turn into a gank feast thread and they will have to lock it .

So the OP has proved that thier are stupid people in the DF community.  I mean most gaming communities are 100% cool and mature people correct?  Of course those 8 comments (out of over 90,000 registered memebers)  should be used to talk shit about the DF community as a whole.

i dont think there really going around dehyping games LOL i dont really disagree about this site not being the best of sites plus the hype metter is screwed

Only a couple times have I ever seen a post on a game's official forums about hyping a game and dehyping others (read the thread, several people have said it). 

Also, there's a difference between idiots and elitists.  The forums reflect the future community of a game, and it is clear that DF will be filled with elitists when/if the game releases.
