Well after speaking to a few people I am going across the pond.

GOA can suck my balls, it was quite possibly the biggest shambles of anything I've ever witnessed ever with still no sign of the end.

They just don't have a clue and I can't see how anyone can have ANY confidence in them after this.

IMO ALL the senior management there should lose their jobs for gross incompetance.

All they had to do was create a working portal not a difficult job really and they've only had 3 months to get ready for it, I know university students who could have done this, hell even a monkey could have done a better job ffs.

Anyway I just picked up my US beta key, I went to the US WAR site which loaded instantly, I created my account, put in my beta key and was told I was ready to go. The whole process took about 2 minutes max, it wasn't hard or challenging either.

I'm downloading the US beta as we speak so come tomorrow unless the US severs are down I will at least get to see this game.

I strongly urge you guys to do the same.

I think we've been more than fair, ok so GOA have taken some flak, some justified, some perhaps not with some of comments that I've read (it is after all only a game) but open beta is supposed to last 7 days, 2 days have already now gone and only a fraction have got in.

It really isn't going to get any better is it?

Even Failcom's beta with AOC wasn't this bad, if I were the CEO of Mythic I'd be looking for a new distribution partner in Europe pretty dam quick

I have done the free trial for EU & US DAoC.

EU: Spent 2 days messing around trying to get an account setup for WAR.

US: I have an existing account on the WAR site!?!? forgot my password. got a new one in under a minute. Shows my expired DAoC subscription and is ready to enter beta key.

Yep it was Grimboj who put me onto this so it's his idea I can't take the credit, but seriously it was just so easy.

Go get your US beta keys, get the client downloaded overnight and stick a big fat finger in the face of GOA.

Seems like the best choice of action for you guys. It's too bad they are sucking so horribly... we welcome you to the American side though!

we just had an hour long meeting on our guild vent, we going US! A lot of ppl panicing to get the US version in our guild now, sure, we might miss the launch if we unluckey, but we prefer the security it gives on playing on US servers instead of euro, even tho we will have bad ping.

Anyone selling 35 copies of WAR US edition? :)

Any EU players should post which server they going to - would be good to get an EU community up and running on one of the servers.

Opened a US beta account on Mythic downloading the client as we speak. I can tell you it was like walking from darkness into bright sunshine! Took 5 mins max to get a key register it on the file planet, had to resubscibe for $7 to jump the download Q went to Mythic and bam! Done. As the prev poster said GOA can suck my balls!

Shame it had to come to this but at least I will see the damn game before I go into the sign up hell that is GOA.
