Loved it.. Dunno how people can hate Darkfall i mean whats not to like.

They don't really hate DF. These are people who have repeatedly been disappointed by MMOs. Yet they still flock to the same ppl that disappoint them, and lash out at small game companies like this one, who they think will fool them once again.

The biggest purveyor of disappointment are the large companies, not the small ones (read:failcom). The large ones can spend a ton of money to do complete mind jobs on ppl.

When a small company comes that doesn't do the mind job and has a game that sounds good on it own merits, they find this urge inside to bash the shit out of it. This urge comes from all the bitterness acquired from past MMOs.

Hating on the game or graphics or its community(for being so foolish) makes them feel like smart, knowledgeable MMo gamers that won't be fooled (or at least not any more) by some scammy MMO developer...but then turn around and flock to the next large company spending money left and right hyping up the next crap game (read:warhammer).

The difference between DF and WH/AoC is that we are all excited by DF simply by reading what they intend to do. Not by some massive media blitz. All they have released are a couple fan-made quality videos, IRC chats and few small interviews here and there. Its a game we know can be good. Aoc (and Warhammer) were destined to be lame borefests even if they did EVERYTHING right.

Now there is no problem being cautious or even pessimistically cautious. But some ppl here drip venom when speaking about df. DF for so long was their designated whipping boy that now it looks like it might be fun they don't know what to do with themselves.

Nice video indeed. Allthough i am still not convinced that it will be THE next MMOs for PVP fun i am having high hopes. The problem is that you cannot tell if PVP is fun until you tried. The ideas of the DF dev team are good though and if they can pull off half of what they promis it could be better then anything out there allready.
