Well Darkfall doesn't look like a great game, but then again neither does EQ2. :P I'm waiting for Dark and Light. |

What is it that makes you like D&L. To me it sounded like nothing but fluff, with a bit of PvP added in the mix, but its only two sided so that kinda blows it for me. |

While I think Darkfall is going to be a great game, if/when it releases, I find this amusing. Darkfall was thought to trump EQ and UO, and WoW was not yet a thought. Amazing how things have developed. |

During that time, EQ was the beast to beat. It was no so as much the number of subs, but the length of time it was out. It is always a bad idea to compare games of a different concept against each other like this, but it is persistantly done. I found it quite humorous, the statement of the op, and laugh a little when I see it now said to beat WoW. This game has been in development for quite a long time, which puts a lot of promise for the uniqueness, and more importantly, the refined state of this game. That is my other point in bringing this up. This might be a company listening to the public, and making sure that they get the best upon release. The only downside to this, is how fast tech has changed since that time. It has probably already taken quite a toll on the developers, reworking scripts and codes for the new drivers and other assorted software/hardware. Keep on keeping on. |

Darkfall is made for a completely different audience then EQ ever was. So for people wating for a new EQ, DF is a big failure, even on paper. But for people that are interested in clan warfare, both on land and on sea with FFAPvP.....Darkfall could be a real winner! |
