It''s not that I''m afraid to die. It''s just I don''t want to be there when it happens.

I can't speak for the Palin fans out there but I find this prospect very, very disturbing. I thought we spent 50 years and trillions of dollars to avoid just this very thing.

Hell, every country feels that way since Putin got in power and then became Minister. That's nothing new.

and if you read it. It says if they invade a NATO country... etc. etc.

I say, if Russia invades a NATO ally... then we need to defend them.

This is what we stand for. If NATO is ever invaded we must come to the aid of them and defend them. What I do not get is in this time and age why countries with power still want to play WAR. It gets them nowhere and causes loss in life and money. What is worse is a power with nuclear capabilities wanting to start trying to bully other countries.

To bad the people there are convinced other nations countries are bad by their governments propoganda.

I voted for Obama.

I did read it, twice. The problem is that Georgia and Ukraine aren't part of NATO at the moment and pushing them to join now could start a conflict with Russia. And let's not forget that Russia still has some of it's Cold War nukes and I suspect that Putin will not be afraid to use them or threaten to use them to keep them out of NATO. Palin is just another one who thinks "cowboy diplomacy" is the best way to deal with a threat. I'm sorry, but the prospect of more good ol' boy (or good ol' girl in this case) leadership from this country just make my blood turn cold.

I don't get it did you want her to say we would never go to war with Russia?

She added: "It doesn't have to lead to war and it doesn't have to lead, as I said, to a Cold War, but economic sanctions, diplomatic pressure, again, counting on our allies to help us do that in this mission of keeping our eye on Russia and Putin and some of his desire to control and to control much more than smaller democratic countries."

I say put Palin and Putin in a boxing ring and let 'em at it.

See how much she thinks she's like Teddy Roosevelt, then.

I agree that Georgia shouldn't join. But Ukraine should join. We were too late with Georgia.
