WAR (Warhammer Online)

I've been waiting for WAR for years and I was really excited when I was able to get into the open beta.  After downloading 10gb's and installing the game, I have to say it F**cking sucks.

WAR is a WoW clone and a bad one at that, the combat is slower, looting is a pain, the graphics/UI are the same and it's just plain boring.  I'm not a big fan of WoW either, but I would much rather play it than spend anymore time in an unimaginative clone MMO with no innovation. 

I quit AoC in preperation for WAR, that was a bad move, even with all it's flaws AoC is still much better than WAR.  I'm going to resub to AoC and just wait for all the people who jumped to WAR to come back after their 30 day sub is up. 

Seriously, did you even play the game?

Looting is a pain? WHAT?

But to address your points:

1. Not a WOW clone. This has been debated time and time again and I am not going to rehash the argument. if you think its a WOW clone, then you are simply blind and so short-sighted that you cannot see the differences.

2. Combat is slower but it is strategic and requires tactics. Sorry I guess you are better suited for a game where you just spam attacks. Combat in Age of Conan was boring as hell - it was reduced to one of about 6 buttons, you just mix up the order.

3.Looting is a pain? Um, I have no idea what you mean...clicking your mouse is a pain?

4. Graphics are the same as to what? WOW? Not that is funny. If you say they are the same, you need to compare it to SOMETHING.

Fine go back to Funcom and continue to be lied too and play a game full of half-fulfilled promises.

Let me guess played till level 5 right?  I agree its like wow in the fact that it has improved everything linear mmos offer. i think alot of people think its such a wow clone because the UI looks the same.

People didn't leave AoC for WAR, they just left AoC.

Why to most ppl go thru the hassle of creating a new account on mmorpg.com to vent their frustations?

WaR is going to be a bigger failure than Hellgate London.  Imagine all the mindless idiots out there that play WoW, do you think they are going to leave to play a game that is just a shittier version of the game they currently play?  Why leave WoW to play WoW 2.0 when WoW 2.0 is worse than the original?  Face it WaR is going to be a flop just like EA's other MMO Hellgate London.

It's not a hassle when I think of the people my comments will help. If just one person doesn't waste $50 dollars on this game because of something I said, it'll be worth it.
