Give a noob a fish and he''ll ask for another. Teach a noob to fish and he''ll ask for money.

I've always been the type of person to take everything with a grain of salt, but I have to admit there's too much bias towards WAR/WOW/AOC to get an accurate representation of this game.

A game's first impression is it's most important. When players are biased they do not help new players form an honest opinion about the game. Players that are biased create an unhealthy amount of hype surrounding the game, which in turn causes players to be disappointed when the game does not turn out *exactly* as some random person on the internet says.

I guess what I'm saying is I would like some honest, unbiased reviews of this game. I tire of all this Bandwagon-ing that's going on here on the forums.

Comparing two games isn't a review, so please refrain from doing so in the future. It would really help people out like me who are interested in the game, but are still reluctant to spend their hard earned money when WotLK is so close to being released.

Thanks, Esther-Chan

I can't really review the game for you. There are tons of posts and threads in these forums that beat all of the review topics (graphics, gameplay, etc... to death). But let me throw in my 2 coppers:

I love the game. I wasn't sure until I played it. I am not a PVP'er at all. I was worried that there would be very little for me in this game. I was proven wrong. PVP/RVR/PVE are all meshed together in WAR to create a solid game. All of it goes together to set the stage for the game. I honestly do not feel like, in other games, that any part is an after thought or I am being forced to do something I do not want to do.

We can debate graphics, gameplay, PVE and all of this. SO many people on these forums (many of them in this thread alone), want to nic-pick WAR to death. "Looting sucks, combat sucks, graphics suck, etc...". Well you know what....in the end, it is only their opinion. Just like this is my opinion. And the problem with opinions is they are like assholes---everyone has one and they all stink. :)

With that said, the REASON I am playing WAR is because it is FUN. Period. In the history of MMO's that I have played (and we are talking 20 or so +), a few have sucked my life away. What I mean is that when I start playing I lose track of time, being hungry, needing to sleep, etc.... Some of those games include DAOC, EQ, WOW, LOTRO (at first), SWG, and even Age of Conan (while on Tortage).

Seriously, the way I view if a game is fun is say at night I come in from work  I sit down to play....am I playing and don't even pay attention to the clock or am I staring at the clock playing just to stay awake until I can go to bed. The games I listed were games that I played and would completely not even care what time it was and even get pissed when I realized I had to stop playing so I could function at work the next day. WAR is the next game like that for me. And that is even in a beta where everything gets wiped - imagine how serious it will be starting tomorrow when it all counts!!!

That is why I am playing WAR. it is fun and there is always something to do. That is my opinion. That does not make it the game for you but understand that is how I pick a game: Is it FUN. Period.

WAR is WoW with slower combat.

And fewer choices, no fear, no feign death, no blink, no charge and so on. WAR is a dumbed down version of WoW.

If anything after playing WAR i would say that WoW is dumbed down, War can be played like a noob or can be played Strategically there is a lot more going on in WAR than just good ol button mashing.

WAR is about WAR O.o no need for overpowered Warlocks that fear /spam range skill /fear rinse and repeat, WAR does not need Charge as every 1 that is generally in battle charges any ways, WAR does not need Feign of death cause if you don't have the guts to fight it out till the End then you don't have a place in WAR we don't need Cowards filling up our ranks. You want Dumbed down i will give you dumbed down WoW dumbed down graphics (although they are nice for what they are) Dumbed down Playability ( as in Boring) Dumbed down Community (in the most part) and so on and son.

Pinky! are you pondering what I'm pondering?

Ladies and gentlemen! We've got another impatient speed clicker.

Let me tell you what...this game is going to have a great community. Less whiners = better community.

If you can't make it to keep sieges...I'm glad that I won't have to hear you complaining in the Trade Channel.

Not trying to be mean. Just keeping it real.
