well it happens. a lot of people are mad that mmorpgs arent as challenging as could be, and for someone to be trying to mess with the elite or risk hungry gamers new found bread and butter,could bring about some nasty comments

I think we all got trolled by this post btw. I didn't read the last 18 pages because it is a waste of time, but I am on a quest to hype darkfall, so, postcount = postcount +1;

You have to think of your gear in terms of STACKs of swords and STACKS of helmets, rather than single swords and single helmets.

Items will decay, Items will break, Items will get stolen. 

Progress and success will be measured by your ability to establish and maintain a good, reliable supply of higher quality equipment, not spending a month grinding reputation or honor to get a +20 Uberdicer of Slaphappiness and then keeping it forever.

And noone cares if DF has (or even wants it to) have 10 million subscribers. That's not what they need, and I'll bet my money that that is not what Adventurine built their game for. The people that DO play it will do so because they love it. I'd rather be playing a game with 100 other people who love the game and challenge me to think and strategize to beat them; than be playing with 10,000 other people who just want their hand held and cry every time they can't 1-hit something.

This is why video games are different from TV. They do (or should) force you to use your brain, to think and plan and PLAY THE GAME! If you want to "sit back, relax and zone out" then go watch sitcoms.

DF was built from the ground up to be this type of game. If you don't like it, go somewhere else.

Best trolling I've seen today. I vaguely recall someone linking this over in OT on the DFO forums but seriously, wow. Even by Forumfall standards this is grade A stuff. I think some of the people in this thread may even actually believe you about this.

Wish people would stop trying to use EVE as an example for something.. EVE only has players because its the only have decent SCI FI game around ( not because of PvP or looting or anything else. There are many safe zones in EVE FYI ). If Tabula Rasa didnt bomb then EVE would be all but dead and not to forget that if/when Blizzard releases a SC MMO then EVE will be dead for sure then.

In short.. Nothing will stop Darkfall from being a failure.
