WAR (Warhammer Online)

I've been reading thru the forums waiting for the servers to come up and was thinking about gold farmers. No we all dont like them thats a fact, altho I do feel sorry for them having to grind away in game in some sweaty room in China or where ever. I have noticed that it is very easy to earn gold in this game, my toon is 13 and already I have 3 gold in my pocket. To get that much in any other game took ages and I didnt even have to try to earn it I got it from Q's and vendor trash. So do you think that the ease that gold farmers can earn gold is going to ruin server economies in the long run?

Altho thinking \about it I havent actually found anything to spend my gold on yet lol.

i hope gaining gold easly will cut gold spammers head in war, as for spending gold on 20 lvl you spend 15g on horse, high lew renown gear cost 10g each piece, i assume high lew pots talismans will cost some good money too, and healing wounds using healer will also

neither have i found anything to spend gold on yet mate which imho is a good thing public quests and influance rewards have provided my stuff . in all honesty the less we need coin the better i sincerely hope it dosent become heavily itemnized it should be about fighting in rvr  not farming

You cant really compare the gold accumulation rate from game to game, the value of gold varies from game to game. But still it is possible we are being given more money than we need but idk im only lvl 8 you may find out later that the gold you are earning is a suitible amount to meet your needs without having to kill yourself getting money once you realise how badly you need it.

P.S. I've spent my money on Career Training, Renown Gear, Dying my gear, and Crafting Skills.

Same here mate, I have not had to buy from the AH at all ( not that there is much on there ) all my stuff is from Q's and PQ's. Got some really nice PQ blues just from doing a open quest. The less we need money the less the gold farmers will need to be here I suppose.

You make a good point mate. I too have spent on renown gear but tend to find the gear I get from Q's better than the stuff I had to pay for, Paying for skills isnt really that expensive tho.

There won't *be* a market till crafting actually becomes something tangible in this game it seems.

The renown gear you can buy is very good when you start getting up a bit, but it doesn't cost that much early on.

3g by 13 lvl is rly low.. i had like 4-7. got bit over 10 at 15..

and im always full of herbs. aint collecting half of the trash and such ..make sure you get those 15g by 20th.. it increases but your rates are bit too low :)

perhasp the mounts will be 4k gold

yes the amount you can accumalate quickly is starnge unless the Warhammer universe had an inflation problem before we came on :)

i would think the items at higher levels will take the gold available into account when they tweak it
