Darkfall is nothing more than a Shadowbane clone with Horses and boats floating around.

I think you see this game based on what you WANT IT TO BE rather than what IT REALLY IS which is nothing more than a glorified Shadowbane clone based on ideas from Ultima Online and Asheron's Call 1 seven + years ago.

Take a look at where Shadowbane and AC1 are right now.

You see it the way you want it to be too because NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHAT THE GAME IS LIKE YET.

And what do you think WAR is? It's based on EQ and DaoC but it's doing well isn't it?

I see. So I am assuming you have actually seen all these features in the game? And actually working as intended?

You are assuming an awful lot yourself, with your speculation. I'm waiting for the game, to see if they hold up to eveyrthing they said. I'm not assuming it will be awesome, i'm hoping it will be.

I am not assuming a lot. My assumptions are more valid than a fanboy who comes along and says this game HAS more features than WoW. How ridiculous is that?

The *FACT* of the matter is this game has not demonstrated that 90% of it's intended features are even THERE. The last video showed nothing more than the same stuff they showed years back only the video was longer with a few more locations. But it was basically nothing new.

I have seen enough to have faith in what the developers of Darkfall claims. Developers of Darkfall already stated out that the game is feature complete. Statements like that i have faith in.

Alot more faith then i get from anyone on this thread or on this site that's calling out for cautions concerning the feature list.

Honestly a useless thread so don't feed the trolls (which I am doing with this post lol) he obviously just came into the forum because he has nothing better to do and just wants to pick a fight, now I do agree that darkfall is not genuinly innovative, but what darkfall does is it takes some of the best ideas from other games, not just mmos, and integrates them together to create a seemingly perfect game (my opinion) instead of doing what jacobs did and just copy games that were popular and sucessful but in reality brought nothing exciting to the table except a WoW/DAoC hybrid that is extremely linear and therefore aims to a totally different set of players than darkfall.  I do agree with him that darkfall will not be competing with the mmo "giants" but that was never darkfall's intentions, what darkfall's purpose was from the very beginning to cater to old school mmo gamers that like sandbox games rather than dull linear ones.  What this ignorant OP fails to realise is that a lot of money has been put into darkfall already and that adventurine has been working on this game for MANY years in order to be capable of making an epic mmo such as what darkfall promisses to be.  I think darkfall is start small, but much like EVE it will grow as it goes along and will finaly bring a good mmo that will last for years for those of us that are bored with crap such as WoW, LotRO, WAR, and so on so forth.  Now in all honestly I am playing WAR until DF releases.

Cautions based on the fact that only new and worthwhile video ever released of this game over 7 years shows nothing more than a generic combat system and the same stuff they have been showing for the past 7 years in other shorter video clips?

You're assuming alot.

You're assumptions is worth nothing.

It's 100% feature complete, not 90%.
