When 1 person dies its a tragedy, when a million its a High score |
well basically IT DOESNT EXISTS but i wanted to ask would you the consumer BUY a portable console that plays only 1 game and it is an mmorpg
the reason i ask is because being portable is the future, people are always on the move and i know myself if i could play WoW or WAR on a portable unit ( i would die a slow an hungry death) i would. plus i have been googling Google android which looks awsome (you can play quake, yes quake, shitty graphics but its QUAKE)
so the question is would you buy a portable mmorpg console,, now take into account that its a game you like.
so would you spend such cash?

I would want to see a portable device that would run a proper MMORPG. Have 102 buttons, or atleast 40 for the required proper handling of any non-korean MMORPG character. Have a mouse or similar fast and proper way to move camera, target, aim, and do what in any MMORPG mouse is used for. There is already enough keyboard turners, no more console joysticks needed. But yes, if you can put that together, I'd pay 150$/€ for that. Then again, I already have a laptop, and it plays ALL games I want to play. |

Its a better idea to just use a cell phone. Nobody will buy a gaming machine that plays one game. Cell phone gaming is big business, Steve Demeter developed the iPhone puzzle game Trism and generated $250,000 in profits since he started selling the $4.99 game on iTunes this summer. That's after Apple (AAPL) has taken its 30% cut of total sales, and after subtracting his initial investment of about $5,000. Now the iphone may not be the perfect canidate for a mmo the point still remains theres money and cell phones have enough power to run games. Think in 5 years what cell phones can do. |

I would pay £150 for a new mmo and up to £20 a month sub, if and only if the game has the quality that deserves that price.
Forget mobile computing, no mobile deivce, yet can reproduce the richness of graphics you can get on a PC. For this price i would expect things like NPC controlled by real humans, ie they are employed by the game producer to interact with the paying customers. And other such inovative applications. |
