To the OP: It is obvious that you don't like the kind of game WAR is. You have your reasons, and I respect that. Feel free to let go of your anger, and move on to a game you do like. You're posting here has made your point. It's time leave the people who like WAR alone. Those of us who enjoy the game will never personally agree with your reasons for quiting, and those who don't enjoy WAR are only going to pile on a Troll bandwagon as if your post is some kind of validation of their hatred. To the others attacking the OP: he has a valid reason why he personally does not enjoy WAR. No matter how much we enjoy playing it (and I'm playing Order on the Magnus server), he will not understand our position. For me it is not a problem having a population imballance. I enjoy the challenge, because I and my guild are achieving our primary objective in the game, to have fun! It doesn't matter that we don't always dominiate in combat, we are still able to capture objectives, and keep destruction on their toes. I've noted several times in other threads that WAR is not PvE focused, it is PvP/RvR focused. Those players who try to solo groups of organized players, or who try to charge up to a stand up fight with a zerg, are going to lose fights. Those players who coordinate and work together as a team are going to consistently take non-keep open RvR objectives even with a party of 4-6, and even with a population imballance. I can't explain it better than that without giving away our guild's RvR tactics. I encourage people who think that "team oriented" RvR might be fun play to overlook the OPs experience, because that is not the global experience for those of us playing Order. Please understand that of those people who enjoy the style of gameplay WAR presents, we are having a great time playing. If you already know that WAR is not your cup of tea, feel free to pass it by without comment. If you like what you see, I encourage you to give it a try and join in on the fun. It helps to be a sociable player, who likes team activities. If you know you don't like team oriented games, then WAR might not be for you. I hope this helps. p.s. in response to one of the posts above, my experience so far with my guild is that the youngest player is 23, with the majority of our guild being in their 30's and 40's. Guilds with mature and experienced game players are out there, you just need to look around a bit. |

I posted here and also at warhammer alliance over a year before release that I was concerned about a trend simular to wow but actually looking to become much worse. That trend was the marketing of and appearance of destruction verses order havning the potential of creating a much worse pvp gap between destruction and order then there was even for horde / alliance. Fanboys scoffed and mods shuffled my thread away as delicately as possible and now here we are. You fanboys need to take off the blinders and learn your crap and start holding your developers accountable to this kind of stuff. Destruction looks 10 times more wicked than horde ever did and order looks quite the fairy. Destruction always appears dominant aggressor in vids and box art and gear and everything. I mean come on. What did you expect? |

Think for yourselves and let others enjoy the privilege to do so as well. |

If history has taught us anything, well...those of us that have actually read it. It's that numbers don't matter. You can beat a larger force with startegy, hard work, and a little luck. This is a game I know, but if the mechanis are the same for both sides, then it's possible. Not to say you really don't enjoy WAR, or that you should quit / keep playing, but if you can't deal with, try a dest on your server to see the other perspective, If you enjoy it, fine. If not, then maybe the problem isn't with the game... |

As i've said before scenarios mean next to nothing there over all pretty even, it's World pvp thats dead most of the time now it just ends up with a handfull of order sitting in a camp taking pot shots at 15-20 bored destruction. |

Somone said earlier that you cant mke a difference in RvR if you outnumbered 4 - 1. but that's not true, just organise like we do on our server and skirmish. Think of a real War, you dont just throw everything you have at the other side and fight till the death. You organise and take out strategic points and people. We ambush and take a player out from a group then root and run. Regroup and repeat. After while you find your enemies are spread out all over the battleground where 1 is visiting the healer, another two are running back to thier group, Another is handing a quest in while hes at the warcamp. Before you know it they have 10 players spread out all over the land. we mop up and take our objective. Sometimes when your losing you have to stop and think different. you may be suprised. Last night I played a handull of scenarios and lost 3 on the trot after joining and being the only one to defend our flag. the next 3 had the same person leading our warband and we won everyone easily. Elanor was her name and at the start of each battle she asked certain players to defend and even picked a tank and his defenders to go grab the des flag. it was the easiest 3 battles i have played in. Though i got minimal kills i still came out on top with renown compared to losing and finishing top kills. RvR we had several instances where the same organisation has lead to results. |
