The "paying customer" excuse is often used in bars and pubs. Even if you are a paying customer - misbehave, and you will be thrown out. As simple as that.

Thx mister mod.  Maybe you forgot that the beer was flat and there was a reason that the customer raised few questions in the first place ?

Perfectly reasonable questions - Perfectly dodged and locked by Funcom.

We are waiting now for feedback in appropriate places !  Will there be feedback this week or next week?  Or maybe next month ?

Sounds like there is a serious arrogance / ego with everyone over there at funcom.  That was a very obnoxious way to begin his new tenure, slamming someone for calling him out? I mean we have been slammed enough, by the guy he replaced, thats the reason he was replaced.  Same crap different crapper... looks like to me!

Well first off if you look through my post history you will certainly see I am not an admirer of how AoC turned out so far.

That being said, What exactly are you going  for? The OP called Sil out in the thread title , he replied in a very professional manner that this type of call out is not appropriate.  As far as the information you wanted well Sil just arrived on the scene and things are in a bit of a mess. You guys are going to have to give him time and get settled in before you can expect information on what he plans to do. The fact that he is himself active in the forums is a good sign. How many replies have you recieved from Gaute? Sil is known for communicating with the community, that is one of his strong points with the comments made after his reply it's hard for me to imagine the thread remaining open as long as it did.

The topic was posted, Sil responded , Krav made a .... trying to find a nice way to say it... un-called for comment to a new Lead that had nothing to do with the previous issue's. The thread was closed because of this. I don't see where the issue is.

Not sounding like a wanker can make a world of difference to the beleagured AoC fans. I love how he spends the time to write such a post, whatever happened to just being friendly??

Just further proof that the Funcom talking-heads have their head up their ass.

How about just answering the questions as best he can and stickying the thread? and when further questions arise concerning the same subjects, him or mods can reply with a link?

The OP of that thread didn't seem to be calling the new director out per say, he was just asking him a direct question.

Put it this way, if he HADN'T put the new director's name in the title of his thread, would he still have responded? Probably not. How many questions have you seen asked on the main forums that have gotten no official responses? I know that I've seen a ton of them, yet that's ok because they are "reading the forums daily" like the new director said. Reading is all fine and good, but how about a little communication too?

And considering Silirron did this in AO (Communicate with the community) I believe he might have. As he stated though with a thread name like that though he is garunteed not to unless it is to inform you that the title insured no response. The guy just got there and everyones already giving him a hard time lol. You wanted someone to listen well there he is. My advice is don't be an @ss to him and there is a chance the game may get better. You have a much better chance with Sil than you did Gaute.

Seriously, i hope the game director doesnt go for a piss. You guys will whine at anything. Its almost amusing to see what next you have found to whine about.

I would question that he responded in a professional manner. He responded with "do (fillin the blank) and we will respond even less. That statement, although we all know that using someones name usually doesnt work, would have been far better left unsaid. Sometimes you are better off saying notning. It just tells me that even though theres been a change at the top it seems the attitude prevails.

And while the pub rule holds true this particular pub doesnt have the best foo or drink so they may want to watch how they act toward the customers they do still have hooked.

Wheres the freedom of speech? Why make it hard on the player base? Simple questions, simple answers. If my beer at the bar does not taste what it was said to taste, then I would tell the bartender. If the bartender had any respect of his customers, he would listen with all his heart, then respond in honesty.
