WAR (Warhammer Online)

Player skill/gear/spec/level means a lot, but as a level 11 Rune Priest i get my ass kicked a lot in 1-on-1 combat. Maybe it's the career as such? Maybe it's poor player skills? But are there any careers that in it's basic nature do have a dendancy to be the last standing in PvP?

If so... how should one spec? I have tried Rune, now i want to try and find something that could kick the other sides ass for once.

this isnt a 1 on 1 game, its a group fighting game. So 1 on 1 there is ALWAYS a class that can knock you down with ease. if its witch elves owning you stay near someone with a big weapon so they can beat her down as you try to out heal the damage , if you are fightnig alone ... well you are doing it wrong nothing can save you.

DoK's , RP's , and Zealots seem to have the longest staying power tho ... except when a witch hunter or witch elf finds you.

IB, the only people I dont beat are healers and BO becuase they get a self heal. I can outlast most dps.

I have to say, even though it is more than advisable to be a group when going about RvRing and such, that the Black Orc has the best overall suvivabilty. On top of wearing heavy armor, BO also has a self heal and an attack that boosts armor. I currently have a level 14 BO and it usually takes about 4 or 5 Empire guys to take me down. Now granted, I don't have th DPS of a Maurader or Witch Hunter, but one-on-one with a Swordmaster, dwarf tank (ironbreaker?), even a Warrior Priest I usually outlast them and eventually widdle them down for a kill. For pure survivability, the Black Orc is a lot of fun and can take a hell of a beating. Your mileage, of course, may vary.

BORC but ive only played alongside them from a enemy pov then ironbreakers are tough SOB's even keeping them at distance as a squig herder it takes a damn long time to take them down and if you miss with 1 root or stop runnin then its lights out

Heal specced Archmage if you stand back, heal and flee if things get out of hand... oh, and have someone to back you up if a witch-elf of a DoK finds you. Still, full self HoTed, most guys that start going for you die by your mates before you go down.
