Common sense is not so common.

I can't point my finger at just one incident because they are quite frankly too numerous to mention, but to give you an idea: Disenchanting the wrong item(s), pulling the wrong mob(s), talking sh*t behind someone's back - or so I thought - when it was in fact the very same player I was talking to, etc., etc...

How about you guys? Got any particular stories that just reek of "n00b"?

My most embarrassing moment was actually playing the game.

Does that count? Free bump for your thread.

I've only every blatently caused one wipe.. I was main healing, and backed up to get better LOS and pulled a pack that was behind us.    In my first AV ever, I pulled aggro on Balinda and ran out of the bunker... my team wasn't very happy.

I've done a lot of stupid stuff that nobody ever saw.  One time I was turning in a quest, actually reading the quest log, when I burned to death because i was standing on a little campfire.   My first month of playing, I had a mage and hunter.  My hunter was a cook, and would send food to the mage :)

Lol, I've had some good ones in Warcraft but possibly one of the worst was accidentally sending a tell to a player that was meant for a friend of mine.  Suffice it to say that the tell I sent the player was about him and not complimentary at all. LOL  I had them on the brain and sent them the tell instead of the intended target.  I've actually done that more than once sad to say.  I was the ultimate miss-teller in my guild.

Another bad moment was dozing off at my computer as the main puller for my guild's MC run back in the day and having to have people in vent yell at me to wake me up between pulls.

I come here
because I care.

When I played Horde side in Vanilla WoW, I joined a guild on our server who was pretty far along (at the time) and were farming MC fairly regularly. I went with them on a run (I had been before, but never as far as Rag) and when we got to the last room, we were working out the details of the fight.

The MT (who was also the GL) was standing right up in front of Rag, like literally an inch away from him, so I assumed, being such a prestigious boss, he had no aggro range and wouldn't start the fight unless you attacked. I though to myself, "wouldn't it be cool to have a screenshot up close, to show just how big he really was?"

Apparently I invaded Rag's personal space, so he invaded my face with his hammer. Hilarity ensued.
