SOE has announced that all former Vanguard accounts have been reactivated until October 18th.

Due to popular demand, we have expanded the recent account reactivation promotion that was sent out to former players who had opted-in for promotional emails. Now all Vanguard accounts that have been inactive for more than 60 days have been reactivated for free play through October 18th.

With the new Isle of Dawn starting area and over 1000 bug fixes in our most recent update, there's never been a better time to revisit Vanguard.

If you still have Vanguard installed, just log in and start playing. If you've misplaced your disks, you can reinstall the game through Station Launcher, our simple one-click application that delivers all your Station games, friends, and community news right to your desktop.

That time of year...oh boy.

LOTRO and Vanguard, two of the weaker PvE games now offering freebies.

Can't go wrong I guess...

My account was activated this round, so lets see if the changes are any good.

I just don't get it. Does the staff on this site purposely post misinformation? Or do they just not read the info they link to? Top of your post states "all former Vanguard accounts have been reactivated" when it clearly states in the article  "all Vanguard accounts that have been inactive for more than 60 days".

Fail.

Plus, does not matter. Seems they can haphazardly just delete your characters as well.

I had 3 characters on Seradon...all deleted.

What crap. They need to shut this game down.

Funny quote on those annoying Free MMORPGs ads.

Adventure Quest
"MMORPG like World Warcraft"

It's not a starting zone and 1000 bug fixes that will make me waste 20gb of monthly bandwidth... what are they thinking. People just started Warhammer... you think they gonna go back to the worst flop in pay per month MMORPGs? And, 1000 bugs... this game easily had over 10 000 bugs. 1000 bugs is like 3 starting zones. Anyone who tried it again and had that amazing memory leak and interface fuck can tell me if they fixed THAT?! :P

People take mmo''s way to seriously

played at the beggining hated it for its unstability and bugs, resubbed and loving the fixes and adding the content sigil was to have at launch like flying mounts and stuff, lots of fixes, and it runs a lot better now than b4 thats for sure.

Doesn't matter what they do, it's still essentially a 100% PvE game therefore has failed.

I loved this game when i played it in beta, i loved it when i bought it and i still loved it when i quit playing it.. though the reason i quit has to do with noone of my friends playing it or giving it a chance, oh well..

I'm looking forward to seeing all the changes and fixes they've made since i last played it..

A friendly advice to the bored reader, don't be afraid to try it if you can make room on the harddrive for it, i can't promise that you'll like the game, but i think the game deserves a second chance despite all the bad hype Vanguard has gotten since it's release.. i still thought it was a really fun game despite the bugs, maybe you will too..
