Im interested in checking out some on this computer since its older, I dont know of hardly any except diablo 2, and im considering dofus I actually enjoy ff tactics alot. Anyways im interesting in hearing your experiences thank you:).

Maplestory just because the way you kill stuff was quite fun, plus dosen't make you feel like your grinding

Wow, im suprised you said that. I really felt like I was grinding when I played it in fact it was extremly repetitive for my tastes.

Ultima Online

Very fun, tons of skills and freedom.

I haven't played it lately so I don't know how it is now, but when I did play it was a blast

Maple Story?

Baram/NexusTK

First mmorpg ever, and still running strong. I've spent maybe 4 years of my life actually in game over a 10 year period.

Cosmic Rift:
Simply nothing could beat its 'Rogue Trader'. Once with 150 population at its peak, it was the perfect space shoot 'em up complete with mining, buying better weapons and upgrades with pirates camping the mining areas to boot. Heavily focused on PVP with little death penalties. It was more an action game than an online RPG arena. Though I have not played a more enjoyable online space ship themed game since.
After SOE ruined it, it barely has any population and that's its only downfall now. No players make it no fun.

Infantry:
The infantry and tank version of Cosmic Rift. Still thriving to an extent after SOE chewed it up and spat it out along with CR. Quite a fun game with so many different game play types. Would recommended playing it even today.

Those two have been the most recent I've played and would recommend. The other 2d online games I haven't played for a while for various game breaking reasons.

infantry zone was my first online game about 10 years ago. I loved it so much perfect combination of pure skill and character progression. it was free for 4-5 years and it was propably my best gaming experience ever. Also infantry had a lot of different game modes and as it was extremely skill based game you just wanted to play it all nightlooooong.

<Mod edit> Anyways I am looking into cosmic rift, and im not really interested in military type games like infantry thanks for the suggestion though. Im alos trying ashen empires I hope its as good as the reviews say.
