I hope that this does not sound too redundant?  But I am a little confused abut the re-invitation to try out Vanguard for the Veterans who once played:

I installed the game from it's original DVDs then went on to patch it, I am able to log in for free until the 19th of October, created a new toon and selected the Newbie Ilse over the Race Starting zone.  These things are not entirely clear to me and I just need some player feedback as I do not want to invest too much time only to find out that I can only play this particular character on the Trial Island.

1 - When I arrived at the Island my Ranger toon was totally equipped with a entire set of armour and some better then newb weapons..........is this an only Trial Isle scenario kind of thing?

2- Will I be able to relocate this new toon after I level past 10 and take him on adventuring on the other continents or it simply stops on the Isle.

3 - Will I be able to keep the current equipment and weapons I was given from the very start as well if I am able to take him off the island?

I must also add, that I am very impressed at what I have seen so far, the marionnette kind of animation from the toons that I despised so much from the start of Vanguard seems to (in my pov) have been fixed adn when in combat the toons look more resposnive and much better to look at, no more floppy arms and feet movement. So I am willing to give Vanguard another go-at while I ponder just why Warhammer is not really doing it for me ATM.  Nothing realy wrong with Warhammer per say, it is just not enough RPG for me and it looks like more and more WoW Kiddies are heading to that game................Not giving up just yet but keeping my MMOs options open ATM.

Its worse to actually think about doing something then actually doing it!!!

1- The super gear is an Isle only thing.  The old starting areas still start with normal gear.

2- You should be able to carry that toon over to the normal world.  I haven't done it from a re-invite though, so I'm not 100% sure.

3 - The gear stays with you.  From the look of the gear you'll have by the time you reach 10 on the Isle, it should carry you to your 20s.

Yes, all the Isle stuff you can take with you to the 3 continents.  You have the option later if you reroll to start on the Isle or your hometown.

Glad you're enjoying your return to Telon...and of course you came back to the Xeth Server ;)

Thank gang for the info, Vanguard always had to me the potential to be the PVE game of all games but of course we all know what happened.......but I am willing to give it yet another try while I still decide on my future with Warhammer but the fact that I can't see the map at all in Warhammer due to my colour blindness really make it difficult to solo when I basically have no idea where I am going, I will at least have some fun in the most open game I have ever played (no invisible walls) which is Vanguard.

The only thing I don't get Raav is how  the hell did you know that I had rolled where my other toons were on the Xeth Server?  You must know me then?............LOL
