It''s one thing to have a opinion, but enforcing one is unconstitutional. |

Ray,
Don't you remember back in 2004 how all the polls from the main networks had Kerry winning easily before the election happened? And then the big uproar after Bush won because how could the polls be so unbelievably wrong? Same situation. Most of the news networks are liberal and/or pro-Democrat. Their polls are notoriously wrong and don't reflect America's views. Hence why Bush won even though all the polls from CNN, Msnbc, Cnbc had Kerry predicted to win. On the other hand, you can't believe Fox's polls either because their fan base is so pro-Republican:) 80+% of their viewers have Sarah as the Debate winner compared to CNN having 51% of their viewers say Biden won. So, don't put much stock in polls. They are fun to watch but don't hold much validity. Actually, Fox has about one third Democrat or liberal, one third Republican or conservative, and one third independent. They have the most diverse viewership of any of the newscasts. |

I watched the VP debate this morning on tivo. Biden won the debate easily. However, Palin impressed us by not acting stupid. But I could make a thread of all her stupid quotes and believe me, there are plenty. Also, Obama is better for the economy than McCain. This isn't a matter of opinion. (money comes in from taxes on the rich and corporations and less war... there will be less unemployment (which starts from tax cuts on 95% of households)... obama is going to help the housing market, etc...) And his health plan is way better than $5000 when studies show that most americans pay $12,000 to health care plans. |

with a liberal centric media polls can reflect anything usually drudge report and fox are opposite of everyone else. Polls are useless and the media is very slanted for the most part. I no longer even pay attention to them |

Palin was almost a nervous wreck when she stepped out onto the stage; I think Biden made her feel comfortable enough to open up. But man did she ramble out some stupid answers. If she couldn’t answer the question she went straight back to her comfort zone, energy. It annoyed the hell out of me. |

Most people don't realize what's remembered about presidential debates. It's not who spoke more eloquently or who appeared to have better command of the facts, it's the little things that stick out in people minds. In 1960, it was that Kennedy looked so much better than Nixon on TV. In 1980, it was Reagan's "There you go again" line. In 1984, It was Reagan stating that he was not going to exploit his opponent's youth and inexperiece for political purposes. That line came in the second debate after most analysts said Reagan looked tired and and forgettful in the first debate. It was so good that Mondale said he knew he had lost the election after the second debate. In 1988, it was Lloyd Bensten's famous, "Your no Jack Kennedy" line to Dan Qualye. These are things the audience latch onto much more than spouting off facts. And lucky for Joe Biden too, because he told several lies in that debate. Of the two debates and the four candidates, Sarah Palin is the only one who had anything close to memorable moments. The two that stuck out in my mind were her, "Say it ain't so, Joe" line and when she looked into the camera and told the kids at the grade school back in her home town that they would get extra credit for watching th | |
