Thunder Arena

Alright,

I want you guys to reply letting me know what your favorite F2p game is that you've ever played or are still playing. I DON'T want to hear that they suck. If you don't play them, don't reply. I myself don't care for the item malls but I sitll enjoy F2p games when I get bored of p2p games. Currently waiting for Darkfall, Mortal Online, Huxley, and a few other mmorpgs.

I'm debating on playing Shaiya, Last Chaos, or another f2p mmorpg. Going to give Shaiya another go tonight for the 1st time in 5 months, lol.

What's your Favorite F2p game that's out? Please explain in details why you enjoy it. It would be very helpful for me as well as those looking for a good f2p game to play to take up time. Thanks!

Guild Wars Hand down

Huge worlds

Large population

Lots of Classes

Lots of Skills

Might want to wait for GW2, it will improve on an already successful franchise, and it will also be F2P

to go Guildwars Guru.com and see for yourself

Perfect World - great character customization, lots of quests.

What I feel makes it the best currently is that while it does have its faults I have found no big problems.

New concept, that's for sure. Bot system that's legal for the game. =) Kind of neat if you ask me. Graphics don't look amazing but the game probably won't be too bad. Can't wait to try it.

Perfect World seems pretty good. My brother keeps telling me I need to quest cause I'm already getting sick of the grind in the game. Off of youtube videos it looks like Silkroad in the upper levels with the skills around the bodies. Also, I hear if you're a cleric you have to pretty much pay lots of money in the item mall to be any good. =/ True? or False?

Oh believe you me....some of us are waiting and NOT very patiently.  I'm almost CRAZY from waiting and wanting to play it.  I want this game out like YESTERDAY, but....I digress.

Right NOW, I feel the best f2p is probably Perfect World.  I'm not playing it right now, simply because I've been busy, but...I will soon go back to it, as I'm ONE level from my flying "mount."  Lots of quests, and fairly challenging.  The crafting is good, in depth.    I enjoyed tailoring and things I made that ended up with good stats and bonuses (some luck involved there) sold well on the auction.  Harvesting is fun, questing is fun, my guild is/was full of wonderful people.  The dungeons were challenging and fun.  At lvl 30 it's open PvP....I like that challenge too.  (There are some safe zones.)  I like that guilds can control cities and they can also be taken away from them.  The graphics are soft and lovely, sometimes even breathtaking (although, they make liberal use of bloom, it seems well used in this title).

Character customization that is OFF THE HOOK.  I didn't look like another single solitary soul that I ever ran in to, other than my armor.

I could probably keep going on and on about Perfect World.  I will say....there's a bit of a learning curve when you first start, as the controls, while comfortable after just a short while....aren't so comfortable at FIRST, simply because they're a bit different.  And finding your way around in the LARGE cities is a bit crazy at first too.  BUT....it's very fun to explore.

I've played a LOT of the f2ps, and PW has come out on top for a long while, for me, now.  I play on the Malaysian EN version, by the way.  I hear the International one is even better, but....as it seems to take actual EFFORT to level, I'm not really interested in starting all over on the International...LOL.  I feel like I worked to get to level 29, so...I'm staying on the Malaysian.  If I was starting it as a NEW game to me, I'd roll on the International though.

Other f2ps that were fun, that I remember:

ROSE Online

Trickster

Ryzom (so much a sandbox game though...it's hard to get started with absolutely NO direction)

Swords of the New Coast

Cabal (probably the next best after PW)

@xfrozenx:

PW is from an Asian market and they have made it so that if you WANT to grind....you can.  However...I hate grinding and haven't had to do any.  There are sooooo many quests and quests chains, it's just not really necessary.  So if you're bored of grinding...just don't DO it.  LOL :)

THE ABOVE POST IS MY OWN PERSONAL OPINION. Duh.
Now Playing: WoW, EQ2, EVE. Presently in closed beta for two upcoming MMOs, really looking forward to The Agency, Runes of Magic, Aion and TCoS releases. Still debating a return to Vanguard. I also play FPS games, such as Unreal 3 and Painkiller, and some single player games like Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines. I'm addicted.

Shadowbane. There is an insane amount of different ways to make a character. Guilds can build their own cities, and siege and destroy other cities.

Why Reinvent The Wheel?

Runes Of Magic and Priston Tale 2 are comming soon and they both will be good games. I tried all the current FTP games on the market and I think Rappelz is the best one.
