I made a post on here not too long ago about how much I hated and loathed the Wii, and to a certain extent I still do. Sadly though I must no purchase the little devil console that it is all thanks to a party I went to on saturday night. I was at a friends party across the street and my girlfriend decided to go with me for once which was a pleasent suprise. When we got there we had a few beers and hung out with the everyone chatting it up. Then walks in this big spanish guy probably around 250-300 pounds with something under his arm. Lo and behold theres the Wii, and a huge party of people trying to convince me the one person in the room who did not want to play to try it out. So after about an hour of watching everyone including my girlfriend play "wario ware" I jumped in and started playing. I finally had realized what everyone here and others had told me, its a party system meant for a large group of people.

So the story ends I get back to my house which is right across the street and my girlfriend who was very drunk sits down on the couch while I go grab us some water. I hear a knock at the door and before I can get to it, my girlfriend answers it and you know who it is? The damn spanish guy with his Wii asking if he can spend the night. Before trying to make this story too long and drawn out the guy ended up staying until early this morning before he flew back to Miami, he was actually a really nice guy. Only thing is my girlfriend is now addicted to the Wii so I have been searching everywhere for one to no avail. Damn demon box I tell you!

Yup, Chix dig da wii.

Dude, if I was gonna get a console, it would be the Wii.

Reason being...it's not trying to be a PC. It's an innovative little machine that's meant to be a different form of fun, and I think it's cool as Hell.

And if they make a Star-Wars game for it....well, I'll buy two

the Wii is for kids, families, and parties. The lack of any serious game on there and the lack of graphics (like the ps3 and xbox) keep me away from it.

Exactly. It is a cute little toy that's fun.

It's a console that's tryong to be a console, and excel at what consoles are good for.

It's not trying to be a PC.

I agree with this. Even SFIV won't be on the wii. How can you not get SFIV =d lol.

I agree with this. Even SFIV won't be on the wii. How can you not get SFIV =d lol.

Bah..they've all sucked since Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo anyway.

WHAT?!

You must be crazy!  How could you not like Third Strike?  It's got awesome parrying and great selection for different play stiles.  It didn't have Dan Hibiki but packing all that awesomeness into one game is just not possible.
