Ragnarok Online

Gravity has announced they have released a free to play server next to their longstanding Pay to play servers.

This is probably a response to the huge amount of illegal private servers and the growing competition of MMORPG's.

Here are the differences between the p2p and f2p servers. If you have never played Ragnarok Online, now might be a good time to take a look:

free server? awesome! . i thought about playing RO on one of those "illegal" servers before but i have  never got around to it. maybe now with this free deal ill check it out. Only downside is the difference with item costs and drop rates from a paid account to a free account.... some of the costs friggin skyrocketed! very neat looking game though. i should give it a try and see what its all aboout.

THANK GOD! I've gotten tired of the private servers as their a pain to install onto my computer. Makes me feel bad about playing the game illegally too, which is one of the reasons I've stopped playing for like three years

it's been a while since i last played... thank goodness there's a free to play server now.. no need to worry about remaining hours...Ü

level-up games from Philippines already released a F2P server of ragnarok and when i tried it, I was very disappointed. I would pay and play in a P2P server rather than F2P because the most rare drops of MVP boss in a F2P server was an elunium. You can obtain the rare kind of headgears only in their item mall. The excitement in boss hunting was gone in F2P server. well, thats my experience in Philippines F2P server of Ragnarok. I just hope that my review for a F2P server will give some ideas to the others

Free to play servers usually make money from item shops, so it would be a good chance for the game publishers to check whether or not offering a f2p server is more feasible than a p2p one.

Also the cards can only obatined through the item mall. The excitement in hunting for cards and other items was gone. Well if you really want to have a very powerful character, you can eventhough your just a lowbie. Just prepare to spend so much money in the item mall.

Nah, won't get me to come back, I enjoyed the game, but I've moved on

plus the Aussie servers no longer exist, and I hate connecting to US servers due to aweful latency and ping times...
