All I have to do is say look at warhammer, look what was originally planned, and see what happened. KOTORO is not going to be a sandbox, it's going to be like WoW so it can get the most amount of possible subs, it will of course have KOTRO influence and roots, but it's going to target the masses, not the SWG refugees that some people are hoping. |

I agree, bioware does not make sandbox games. They love classes. If you are looking for a SWG pre NGE clone forget it. As to Jedi's, I expect them to be a starting class, so you will see a lot of them in game. Not saying it will not be a good game, just that it won't really challenge Wow either because it will be too much like it. |

It's not going to be a sandbox. It's not going to be WoW either. ALL MMOs target the masses. Its implied in the term MMO. No one targets SWG refugees. That would be like walking into a random crowd and looking for a bitter old wacko to take you to the zoo. |

Nobody WANTS to target the SWG refugees. At this point they've determined that the original game was somehow the best storytelling/best combat/best crafting/best class/best world/best MMO ever and that every MMO since then has sucked. Since no one can compete with this mythical game that never bloody existed in the first place they're going to just ignore y'all.
I imagine that they'll go for Bioware standbyes - good storytelling, immersive gameplay, solid mechanics, fun combat, and an overall polished game. And I'm sure the SWG was god crowd will be on the forums decrying how its 1% of what it could have been if only it was this... game that never existed. |

Greatest threat to society is letting casualties of puberty reproduce. |
Just hope it is a large world with no wow like raiding. I would also like some NPC merhcants to sell off junk. A crafting system worth doing would be great and if their is non instance housing at least limit or restrict where it can be placed. |

Again, you have no idea what it will be like. None of us do. |

"I play MMORPGs to feel FREE, yet I am always in chains." |
WoW Accessibility + SWG World Immersion = MEGA Success.
The world is desperate for a sci-fi with deep, innovative world immersion features: new forms and abilities for world exploration; unique ways and means of travel that feel real; Quests that actually impact the world; Character Customize in which characters are unique in appearance, skill sets, class-choices, abilities acquired, earned, and selected, etc.
I am waiting for it! I will buy it. |

SWG = Best Game? in my eyes it used to be, LA/SOE just got greedy and screwed it up. you see i'm all for pre-NGE SWG but others like myself know it wasn't perfect, it was just the best MMORPG for us at the time. To say that game never existed is false though, it did exist for those that played it. I don't doubt that this new game will get bashed to high hell over silly things that might or might not be in it, but what makes that different to other games? and for your information it isn't just the SWG god crowd that do the whining.. SWG god crowd (as you put them) are on par if not a minority compared to the WoW whiners.. |
