Hi! Today i received my new graphicscard: HIS HD 3850 IceQ AGP 512 I downloaded the latest Catalyst drivers ( 8.9 ) from ATI but they wont install. I found out that the normal Catalyst drivers wont work with AGP-cards, so i have to use a so called hotfix or the HIS Drivers (but they are not based on Catalyst 8.9). Does anyone have the same Graphicscard? What would your recommend? Thanks for your help!

Its not really a hotfix but an older driver. AMD stopped supporting AGP at some point and those were the last drivers they developed for it. That one still will probably be the best drivers you can get for your card. |

What do you mean 'not cmpatible' ?
Does noone have that card? What drivers do YOU use? |

from the HIS website, if it doesnt work then I dont know, have you got net framework installed ? I dont think it matters anyway cos you cant install the driver without it, not sure, I cant remember now |

try this site, they have many old and new drivers here. downloads.guru3d.com/download.php There is quit a few pages of them in fact. |

Hmm... i think you got me wrong. I dont have a problem finding a working driver.
I would just like to know which of the available drivers is the best (most stable)... |

Ok, I am using the ATI 8.9 AGP hotfix drivers now and i am very happy. System is runnig stable, no probs so far.
