DaoC, EQ2, DnL, WoW, GW, SWG, AC, Tibia, WAR - atm: EvE and LotRO

This would probably make a nice addition to the "WAR rulez / suxxorz" threads that flood this board atm.

What do you guys think are the most underpowered classes at the moment.

As a destruction member, I think the classes that need some improvements are. The Shadow Warrior, desperately needs to gain some more effective stances, possibly speed and an anti-debuff spell. The Witchhunter, needs to have the possibility to gain some more burst DPS, also attribute spread (ballistics, strength) are a weakness.

The class that is commonly referred to as being underpowered but isn't in my book: Squig Herder. Takes down rows of light armored anemies from afar and gets away most of the times.

the class thet is commonly reffered to as overpowered and isn't imo: Bright Wizards. Sure, they deal crazy amounts of damage if protected, but as a melee DPS it takes 3, 4 seconds to slit his throat. So that's pretty balanced....

That's the truth Meridian.

I think the Shadow Warrior needs the most work.  Squig Herders are a much easier class to play and they have great utility.  I have seen alot of Squig Herders start to kick major butt once they get over level 25 or so.  I haven't seen an impressive performance by a Shadow Warrior since T2.

Witch Hunters need help to be as lethal as Witch Elves.  Bullets are weak, and their finishing moves are based on Balistics.  The fact that KIsses were added in the last weeks of Beta just goes to show that these are probably going to be toned down.

Bright Wizards aren't hard to bring down.  A coordinated team of Witch Elves can wipe out one or two Bright Wizards without much difficulty.  And the game is all about momentum.  Once one sides starts to drop members, their loss is almost all but assured.

I've seen more scenarios lost because Witch Elves were tearing up the back ranks and the Witch Hunters just couldn't do the same to Destruction as quickly and efficiently.

Granted, with a dedicated healbot, no class on Order can put out the hurt like the Bright Wizard.

 I play a WH and the balistic shit gets on my nerves.. should be like WE and give us 2 swords.

I have noticed that WE are far strong than witch hunter at level 20+.

Or Order tanks need to be beefed up a bit more, not to mention Empire side needs a tank, the one they cut out of the game, forgot what the name was.

The SW is only weak at lower levels, after lvl 25 things begin to be better and after 30 it becomes fun. At 30 I can crit enemies for 2200 hits and that was before I got the technique where I ignore their magic resistance permanently.

The SW is a burst damage class, we dont get overall huge damage but we can do so much damage in so short time (at least as a scout) that we can take out key targets before they can get heals. That is a nice role. But you need to be lvl 30+ before it really works and thats is why you see so much talk about weak SWs.

Empire tank was intended to be the "Knights of The Blazing Sun" or something similar i think.

I play an Iron Breaker and i've been fine in RvR although since post level 20 it feels like i'm struggling a bit more.  I can take an absolute beating in Melee, the only class i seem to struggle with are DoK's, i get them close to death but they just full heal over and over untill i run out of HP, other than them everything else is fair game so far!

Retired: Runescape, DAoC, SWG, Planetside, Guild Wars, WOW, EVE, Battleground Europe, LOTRO, AoC.
Tried: EQ2, Ryzom, AC, AO, CoH, RF Online.

Personally i think that Engineers on the Order side are underpowered. the only thing that they have going for them is Electromagnet. Which is a mastery skill available in a single line. In general we are ignored, in battle, as our DOTs are a minor inconvenience. For example, Our Dots can tick for ~250 damage over 15secs., while a HOT can tick for 170 per SEC!!!!. This is one reason that healers are so hard to kill. While other classes in the higher levels can handle healers better. Engineers damage just doesn't scale well at all. In addition, this was a known problem during BETA and wasn't fixed then either.
