AoC has hit an all time low according to xfire on Monday oct 13th AoC only had 4613 hours played which is the lowest its ever gotten. Why do you think that is?

Funcome stock has droped 93% since its all time high in June. Xfire numbers have droped over 90% since release. Things dont look good for Age Of Conan.

Forum Poll

Why is AoC losing playtime hours according to xfire?

Aoc Hasnt gotten any better since launch
No end game content
Too much grinding and not enough quests
Too laggy
Too many bugs
pvp system is broken
People went to Warhammer
Bad customer service
Game still causing crashes
Just isnt fun

Warhammer gets 'honest' player reviews, Age of Conan gets xFire polls.

Any new or returning player to WOW, send me a PM for some help getting started.

Well it definitely isn't because of Warhammer.  Warhammer is down about 30% since the first week it launched.  If AOC had bottomed out 4 weeks ago, I would say it was because of warhammer, but not now.  Warhammer's problems are probably helping AOC a little bit right now... but it's not like a lot of the people who are quitting warhammer are coming back to AOC.

I think both Warhammer and AOC are in similar places now.  Warhammer is much bigger at the moment, but neither of them are selling any boxes, which means their subscrption numbers are just going to drift down over time.   Warhammer is going to get  a nice drop in a few days when their first renewel come up.. but there is just nothing on the box sales charts that makes me think either of these games will ever reach anywhere near where they were at launch.

Haha.. that's the worst add campaign I've ever seen. I mean who comes up with that kind of crap? Is this the way you market a "mature" game? FC's marketing guy should be fired for that.

Pinky! are you pondering what I'm pondering?

If you didn't notice...other games around it also went down in hours played. It wasn't just AoC.

Yeah even Call of Duty 4 passed WoW in hours yesterday!

List of SOE lies
What do Treyarch, EA and SOE all have in common? A habit of ignoring customer feedback and suggestions and their inability to properly beta test their products, resulting in crappy products.

Yes, but you have to admit, it's looking really really bad for AoC. Lich King is probably going to hit the last nail in AoC coffin.
