Exactly. If you look at ALL the videos this game has ever released you'll come to the conclusion that the game is nothing more than a combat system with bad animations and dated graphics

Bad graphics?  If you look at today's video youll see that the graphics are far better than WAR that came out a month ago...its not really up for debate.  Animations and art style are different, but for graphics...yep DF certainly is not dated.

the real question is, what have they said about the game that isnt proven true.. the only thing i can think of that isnt in the videos is farming.. that one thing, im gonna give them the benefit of the doubt

There are plenty of features shown in the video, And it's not about the uniquness about the features but the freedom it grants.

Only partymembers on radar = ambush and no invisibility needed

Drag n drop custmizable UI

NPC Ai (trying to flank the target)

Mount which fights with you and is aimable/killable

Aiming + drawstrength on bow + weight and durablity on armor = physics

"You injured Avran the Adventurous for 8.400001 points of health" = lol amount of detail and the possibility to hurt your teamates

And it's not about the uniquness about the features but the freedom it grants

As a norwegian I loved to see some Norwegian in the chatchannel :)

You know, I am actually taking back some of the bad things I've said about this game. The graphics look pretty decent and I could see some diversity in styles. The combat looks a lot like AoC combat, without some of the BS, so that seems good too. The only issues I have are that I don't like the cammera placement in 3rd person mode and I hope that you can pull it back just a little, though I don't think you will because that would eliminate the ability to be attacked from behind, and I'm not overly impressed by the animation. Other than that it looks like a pretty good game.

Generic combat system? There is no other combat system out there that lets you swing like that, or aim a bow, or aim a spell. The only games I've seen this in are in M&B and Oblivion. And those aren't MMOs. I watched combat for a few seconds in that video and I saw him attack from 5 different directions. If Age of Conan combat was "revolutionary" with its 3 swings, what's Darkfall?

Apparently the graphics were on high settings according to a post I have just seen, if that is true it is even more obvious that this will be one uggly game, with no real style, it looks like a game from 1995 trying to go with a 'realistic' looking fantasy world.

Animations still look horrible. That loading looks like it will be very annoying, and that is with 1 person playing the game most likely on a high end computer.

The UI looks like a mess, what happened to a small UI that does not take up all of the screen? The actual combat looks like a spam click fest, I have know idea why people are praising the AI as advance. The AI that has been shown so far implies nothing more than your usual mmo AI, and that thing running around was more than likely scripted.

If they have advanced AI why not have a video like TCOS has for their AI showing how it actually does try to flank you, and take advantage of the situation. If this game is so far along in development that should be easy.

And to top it off they want to release this games closed beta within the next month, then have an open beta soon after that, and then they want to release. Thats less than 2 and a half months to iron out all the bugs that WILL appear, and all the imbalances, expoits etc that also WILL appear. (The fanboys can keep the generic oh but have proffestional testers that are so amazing they iron out all the bugs unlike every game in existence testers)

The game they are demonstrating does not look like 7 years of development, nor does it look like a sandbox game. Apparently theres going to be a 30 minute video, allthough I have not seen that officially stated, but if its true it better not be all combat like that last video in fact if there is so many features dont show the combat at all.

How can anyone been blown away from what has been shown about Darkfall? Have peoples standards dropped so low that they will just eat this shit up? You would think after all the failed MMOs people would have a clue by now, and actually be objective about such obvious problems.
