Was in game last night after just hitting level 17 with my black orc, when all of a sudden the guild leader announced he was leaving because the game had just reached boredom max for him at level 26. I joined the guild only two days earlier paying taxes in order to prepare for the end game..long away for me i know ..but when someone..the leader starts apoligizing for his decision etc it does throw up some questions.  Now the guild leader apparently along with others came straight from wow so i asume their experienced in the world of the mmorpg and pvp, so to suggest the game is just plain old repetative at lev 26 is a major concer.  .....Is he right...has he a point...I really hope he is wrong obviously and will continue to play at least to experience the game properly myself, but thought i'd ask anyway...

Look I tested this game for 8 months, and I came to the conclusion that this game was the most boring MMO I ever played.
In fact is the only major MMO i didn't buy since UO in '99, which says it all.

I said it before launch,  and now I keep reading all those posts about people being bored.
This is the only game where the word "boredome" is a recurring issue, usually people have problem with the performances, or the content or the bugs.
But WAR seems to have not so many faults, in fact it looks like a well made game, only problem is that apparently gets boring pretty fast.

The only people who really like this game are people who usually play Multiplayer FPS with Ladders.
But as a MMO Warhammer online is subpar.

Dec 2008 RMT is introduced in EQ and EQ2 without any warning whatsoever
That's SoE for you

The game looks and plays brilliantly, surely it would be less boring at higher levels when more people get there. I can imagine there won't be the mosh pit we all want for several months yet. WoW'S pvp open area lake wintergrasp will be successful because you have a massive build up of players only a couple of levels away from joining in. This ultimately will be the case for War. I do agree that sometimes the world feels baron and I think maybe the starting areas were way to big, they should have funneled them more to encourage / force pvp. But I can see how the large open areas of pvp land will be utilized by what will be an ever increasing population approaching the level 40 limit. I f an expansion takes say two years to develop for further level growth but the missing cities are added as patches I can see how the the "end game" might develop.  If you think about it this gives a far bigger better rvr pvp experience than WOW could offer with the lack of options at lev 70 especially if you did'nt raid.  I think the players who will gain the most without the wait will be players starting the climb in a couple of months when a higher level populous has been established......

when they make the game not be so boring and grindy msybe some people will relook at it .don't even know why someone would make a pvp game with a big pve and scenarios and not add anything in the rvr areas worth doing. i mean how hard would it have been to put a couple of towns near each other in an rvr area and actually have a reason to fight

For the is the most enjoyable MMO I've played. I really enjoy it. I love keep sieges, I love scenarios, and well, I love RvR in general. No one has the same tastes in games, of course, but I could never go back to WoW after playing WAR. I just love how you can just have fun with PvP and never have to grind to reach the cap. Did the GM mention what he didn't like about the game?
