-[]The Guru[]-

It feels like WoW, It looks like WoW and it plays like WoW.  Great for those with OCD imo. I think it is a good patch considering the turn around on Blizzard's  content release technique.  Gamers are dying for something new and refreshing and sadly this is not it, but it is polished. Yeay!

Aha!  I found a drawback.  The servers are a bit 'busy' for my liking.  Although with my OCD, I have chars on multiple servers, my home server had a queue.  Granted it was only 39 people, but I still had to wait a minute to get in.  I'm not looking forward to the influx of lollerskater powerlevelers when the expansion hits, but dems the breaks.  I should instead seek ways to grow the guild and work to find good economic niche markets because of it.

It really depends on how much you'd enjoyed the game when you played it.  If you really liked it but there was nothing new, I'd say re-sub for a month.....

Well...I loved the game. Been playing since '04. Don't have a problem with change, depending on what the change...change refreshes the game play. I started playing WoW after the infamous NGE and having my class/Prof completely removed from the game.

Honestly, the only reason I left WoW was because they seemed to be trending towards PvP and arena. I never complained about PvP'rs getting things with patches when others didn't get, or got very little improvements. My ONLY complaint was that they made it nearly impossible to run the normal 5 man instances. When you log in after a patch and you find youself getting PWND in instances that you were used to running on a casual basis. it's wrather disconcerting. Understand that my toon was Kara geared and our guild was running Kara on a regular basis. I now how to play my 70 hunter...well my PvP sux :) but for PvE I know how to play my toon. Maybe I'm still a little gun shy from NGE...but when I see them making such changes I get a little nervous.

It just kinda took the fun out of the game when you get a group of friends together for a quick run and wind up with 20-30G repair bills O.o

I've seen things, you...people, wouldn't believe... . Attack ships on fire, off the shoulder of Orion... . I watched C-Beams, glitter in the darkness near the Tannhauser Gate... . All those...moments will be lost in time... . Like...tears...in the rain...

Don't believe what people say when you have not tried the actual product yourself!

As a warlock I am quite satisfied with my personal build that I tested out from beta. I decided to be heavy destruction where there is a rotation that makes the spec more fun and really put in some good quick burst if you got it right. I was pulling some top-notch dps and was competing with dps warriors and mages at some points. It's pretty sick what dps warriors can do in raids. Other than that, I need to test more with pvp as I have done sooo little due to achievements are quite addicting haha.

Anyways, the biggest positive feedback is the fact that tanks are just doing bad ass threat that I can literally go all out with Vigilence buff on me (gives my own 10% damage to tank's additional threat). The only issue with my lock is the lack of getting enough time to do quick damage combos since mobs die so quickly now lol but I guess expac will fix that haha. No need much for soulshatter unless I go seed some trash haha. AoE raiding it feels like.

Stacking buffs and raid-wide buffs make it possible to reach some super high raid dps and not only that it benefits both sides of the pot (healers and dpsers). I say its really cool that we dont have to stack classes and we been taking diverse classes that weren't popular pre-patch. Killing bosses are a joke from Kara to BT but sunwell is so-so if you have good people avoiding stuff.

Inscription is really the money maker atm and I am making tons of gold doing it but man 20 hours to get minor glyphs is gonna be a pain I guess but I cannot complain since enchanters have to play with lady luck to drop theirs. Thumbs up here if you can handle the wait.

In terms of bugs or issues I say its very stable after day 1 and known reports are quickly responded and some are already in the new beta patch to tweak  more. I do believe the biggest issue is losing mounts and some achievements not counting despite having items but other than that it's been clean so far.

The negative side is the fact that it made things very easy. Maybe a bit too easy you can say. Blizzard is very forgiving in this patch by letting unfortunate players and casuals get a chanse to raid T6 content quickly but I know that I might as well deal with the easymode ride through Sunwell and other farmed instances. Another problem is probably AH jacking prices with achievements going out of control and lack of good stuff on AH anymore but depends by server. Lastly, there are minor bugs with certain items with uses that doesnt work but i'm a pot freak so it sucks lol. :(

To add on about the patch: Anyone notice how many people are in MC, BWL, and AQ20/40? Feels like vanilla WoW days.   I guess achievements really convince a lot of people to look back and drive back to azeroth to explore all areas and let people see it all. I think Blizzard did a good job convincing people to go back and bring more activity in those areas. (must be even more fun on a pvp server ganking BRM) :P

For level 70's, right now it's a lot of preparing.  The new talent tree takes some study.  Got to decide on glyphs and predict what the new world on Nov. 13th will bring.  There's a few new things to look at and change about your character (even hairstyle) as well as the achievement system.  Achievements are surprisingly fun, it encourages having goals other than merely beating stuff up.  For example, I like the challenge of exploring a whole zone and earning the achievement.  It tells you what you've explored, what else there's to explore to gain the achievement, announces to the guild when done and you get points.  Currently the points have no value, but I'm getting the hint that they will be worth something soon.  Overall, I'm a PVE'er and will PvP if necessary for gear.  I think it's worth checking out and Wrath will open up a whole new world for us 70 PVE'ers.

I am loving most of it, however, add me to the list of those who didn't like the poison changes.

SWG - One of the original Master Rangers (retired)
EQ2 - 62 Swashbuckler
WOW - 76 Hunter, 70 Rogue
LOTRO - 30 Burglar
DDO - Level 3 Rogue
