Its not a lie its the truth.History tells all....But yet lets talk about the bible..

Was the New Testament written in Greek? Consider. The Jews of the Savior's day spoke Hebrew (or some say its sister language Aramaic). They held nothing but animosity for the heathen Greeks and the Hellenization policy of the Seleucid rulers. Why would the Jewish Apostles be writing in Greek under these circumstances and social tensions? What average Jew could or would want to read Greek writings (even if the Apostles could write Greek, which most could not)? Some Alexandrian Jews had resettled in Judea and did speak Aramaic.

Josephus, the eminent first-century Hebrew priest and historian – who said he far exceeded the average Jew in learning – wrote, "I cannot pronounce Greek with sufficient exactness..." (Antiquities of the Jews, 20:11:1). If this eminent priest and scholar could not speak Greek, how could most of the common Jews in Judea?

Jesus (Nick name Jesus)) sent the l2 Disciples "not to the Gentiles [Greeks included], but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel," Matthew 10:6. Obviously, these Hebrew Disciples writing for Israelites wrote in Hebrew – so the average Hebrew would understand. To think they would be writing in Hebrew but inserting Greek substitute names for the Father and Son is absurd. On the contrary. They would use the personal Names first revealed from On High to the Hebrew patriarchs in the Hebrew language long before the Greek language even existed! (see Gen. 4:1, 26)

Oh and here is a verse for you.Take lesson from Zechariah 8:23:- "YHWH-Tzva'ot says 'When that time comes, ten men will take hold--speaking all the languages of the nations-- will grab hold of the cloak of a Jew and say, "We want to go with you, because we heard that Elohim is with you,".

Apparently in Islam-world, putting any Qur'an text to music is a huge no-no.

I guess it would be comparible to .... tearing up a picture of the Pope.

Thing is the songs 2 years old, why get all offended by it now?

I'm not offended.   What I am offended by is the fact that my thread about this same subject was deleted, and then I get a warning.   That's offensive.

Jesus is King

I haven't done much study on the literal text history itself, but if you could remember, MOST the converts to the new sect (wasn't called 'Christianity' til Acts 11 when Saul [or Paul] and Barnabas preached at Antioch) were Greek or Greek speaking. They did not understand Hebrew in writing or speaking, so writing their teachings in Hebrew would do them no good.

Interesting topic to say the least, however, this is TOTALLY off topic. I'm surprised a mod hasn't *poofed* it yet.

Blessings,

BTW - my signature is a good description of what Christianity is.. not what 'people may say or do in the name of God"...

If Christianity is the following of Christ, His words and His leadership, then Christianity is the right way forward. Jesus is the One who claimed to be THE Truth and who possesses all wisdom and knowledge (Col 2:4-5) Though in Christianity many may say or do goofy things, Christ is the Faithful Witness so that is my cornerstone. When I made that decision, the world and all of its religions and philosophies suddenly became clear as it is all of Him, through Him, to Him and for Him.

And my signature is a good example of what Christianity really is when its practiced.

In every country and in every age, the priest has been hostile to liberty. He is always in alliance with the despot, abetting his abuses in return for protection to his own.

Islam's worse, if we're ranking brands of irrationality and hatred.  Why?  Did anything I said in the thread give you the impression I was a fan?  Are we now dancing because one irrational stupidity is slightly better than another?  Does anything in the post suggest that priest is somehow denominational, referring to only one flavor?

It''s one thing to have a opinion, but enforcing one is unconstitutional.

I cant get into this but its stupid. Ill get banned if i say what i want to on this subject because i leave no religion untouched in these kind of claims.
