LOL, it's gotten even worse since I made this post. They sent the sacraficial lamb into the paladin forums (ghostcrawler) to put the good ole PR spin on the massive nerfs and oh boy it wasn't pretty at all. The best part is they are hotfixing the nerfs onto live servers so they can  "do more testing" that imho is pathetic to make people pay 15 bucks a month to test their nerfs. I gave up playing this blizz buff then nerf game they won't be getting me back anytime soon, I'm not about to go another year playing a broken class only to get a mini buff in a later patch that makes the paladin look viable... GG blizz now how about those druid, rogue, mage, and warrior nerfs that are a long time coming (sorry mages I know you sucked for TBC but you are more OP than any other class right now)...

Hope Blizz adds the cash shops too so they can piss even more people off and finally kill off this game for good.

Edit: And for the idiots that say "if you want to dps roll a dps class" then why the hell is there a dps talent tree for my class... OMG NO WAI could it possibly be for dps? Guess what theres only 3 dps classes- Mage, Rogue, and Warlock (and I have a lvl 70 of all 3 and none of them are fun to play)... Go back to facerolling you elitist jerks, now that I said that I feel much better...

If Blizzard places the fix later, the shock to both players and developers would be too great and forums could burn yet again. I believe hotfixing the changes now is the best move - they haven't got much time (only 2 weeks) until wotlk is released, thus it is best to get people used to the new rotation and adjusting their playstyles before wotlk is coming.

People are not being honest about the broken state of Retribution - the nerf was needed (to a limited measures: some nerf to the Seals were over the line that ultimately affects the other 2 trees). Yes, I also have a level 70 Retribution Paladin if it's the validity of my comments you are expecting.

At 33% JotW, a Retridin could unleash -all- of his/her abilities at -all- times (only limited by the spell cd and gcd). And when I say 'all' - it's everything from the core rotations of Divine Storm, CS and Judgements plus the extra ones: Consecrate, Exorcism, Holy Wrath, HoW, and FoL everytime AoW is up !

Shaman, Druids, Priests can heal nicely but are also capable of dealing viable dps when built for it.

But see the problem is this... Take away the heals and you are talking about a cat druid, rogue, and warrior. All they ever have to worry about is  ability cooldowns and GCD. Where's the difference? You are also saying thay people shouldn't use thier entire kit ever... Personally I am sick of that I raided through most of sunwell (the cockblock muruu killed my guild pre nerf) using 3 buttons, now I'm being told I'm back to 3 button dpsing again with lesser results at 80. My lvl 70 ret pally does MORE dps than my lvl 80 paladin in naxx gear(after the nerfs). There's gotta be something wrong with that

Black Temple, Hyjal... you name it, the ret pally in our guild was doing insane dps.  Topped everyone by at least 500 dps.   They had to nerf these guys, sorry pallys, but that is just not right.  You wear plate, can tank, you heal, you top the dps charts by huge amounts...  there has to be reasons to play another class besides paladins :p 

And yet nobody ever wants to show us the data not even GC.

Admitting, paladins are a bit over the top right now, but I like their new mechanic though. Bring the nerfs, just don't kill the mechanic!

Good to see the "clever" avatar and "omg, game companies screw me over so I'll scream and moan" attitude isn't specific to AoC but rather specific to certain players. ;-)
