Star Wars: The Old Republic

A little of both I would say.

This games looks promising and I don't know what the people crying "cartoon graphics" are on about.

What little I have seen doesn't look cartoony to me.

I wil play because Bioware is making it

I'll play it if its good,entertaining and polished. But one thing is for sure im gonna try it out so I can make my own opinion about it when the times come.

I always like starwars. I'm a fanboy. Not a nerd of starwars like we use to see. I play almost all the starwars from the super nes to the last consol. Then, when i play stawars jedi knght academy, i start to quit playing other starwars because academy pwn. I didnt even like force unliched.

But, when i saw the new starwars mmo, i was like (OMG!) then, read some of the feature and i was like(Ok...) Anyway, i wont pay montly for that kind of game that will remind me of wow or other sucky games.

Note: i'm no more a mmorpg gamer. Wow make me skip those kind of game. It was my 1st and i stop at level 55. Only darkfall online can bring me back the feeling to get fun in a mmorpg.

My first question is how do you know you will like Darkfall? If WoW is your first and only mmo how can you be certain you'd like Darkfall?

But to answer your question, I will be playing this game but neither for star wars or bioware.

Yes, I like Star Wars but never felt like I wanted to play SWG

Yes, I like bioware but that is not a reason to play a game in my opinion.

I want to try it because of their presentation, the things that they said they wanted to bring to the mmo space, the extended story, etc.

That is what sold me on trying it. Will I play it continually? Don't know, in general I seem to prefer fantasy setting over sci-fi.

Damn! i never saw a game losing he's hype that fast. Wonder what happened.

1st paragraphe: I was wrong. Wow is not my 1st mmorpg. My 1st was ragnarok online and i was playing in a private server to get instant level 99. It was fun. Fun because i didnt have to grind.

In darkfall, No level, full freedom, skills bases and not like RS when it take years to masterd them all. I played elder scrolls too and i like it. A dev said that even 3 good newb's will be able to kill a veteran if the vet is not good. They even said that in 3 days, you will have enough time to get enough skills to kill anyone when pvp and be useful. We can build base with our clan, destroy other bases or captur them. I can make a boat and cross the sea. Full loot systeme and we dont have green gears, blue or purple. The gears make a lil bit of different, but you still need mind game to win. So, full loot is a good systeme in that kind of game and i like pvp over pve.Im also a fps or third person shooter gamer.

In wow for exemple, wow devs decide your destiny. You have to do quest to get level 70. You have to do raid and get epics. To pwn in pvp, you have to get honnor. I dont want a dev to control my destiny in a mmorpg so i stop.

Both really. Im not an avid Star Wars fan (actually I prefer Star Trek) I really like Star Wars and  the potential of this game looks great. I loved KoTOR 1&2, so ill have to wait and see more before I make up my mind completely. But to be honest if the game-play is not there then I will not bother.

To the OP, yes, i will play it first for the IP, and I will continue to play it if it is good.

if you free the frogloks do you get a pet rancor?
